The Black Stars are an important brand. People are trying to ignore that. The negativity of the fan base is simply too harsh. We should be supportive when things are going bad or going well. I feel that they are too many fair weather fans.
The way I see this friendly is that maybe Samuel Tetteh will get a chance to see the field. My take is that he is the missing link for this team. We need a right footed winger/striker who can dribble, is fast and can score. That will make a big difference in this team.

To me, this friendly and the Egypt game is going allow us to see if Grant is worth the $50,000.00 per year. He has to do the following:
1. Win this South Africa friendly and find a new scoring threat.
2. Draw with Egypt next month.
If he cannot do these things and the NDC wins this election, we could see an early firing of Grant and a local coach for the AFCON 2017 along with a totally different line up of players. We shall wait and see. This is a challenging time for Grant and these Black Stars.
If Dede is not healthy for AFCON 2017 I can see the following players NOT being called...Atsu, Jordan, Warris and Accam. I feel like Tetteh truly needs to be starting somewhere.
I think that the coach sort of calls Jordan because of Dede but that may stop soon. I like Jordan and I think he is a very good player but he is not going to be a potent striker. At best, you can bring him off the bench.

Simply to not allow those long passes to Sallah like Congo did. Our problem is that we are not capable of scoring more than one goal per game unless 1) Wakaso gives us one of his periodic long range shots or 2) Tetteh gets a chance to be on the field. That game in Egypt is going to be 1-1. If we win, I will be very pleased but I am being realistic about what we have right now.

The GFA sacrificed the Stars training and contact time with the coach for a useless friendly match. Why did the GFA decide we honour the match on a Friday when they knew that most of our players were in Europe and would not arrive early enough to train together? Why not strategically choose Sunday so we could have at least 3 uninterrupted training days? Just because they want to honour a friend. Where is their focus? and some idiots want to blame the minister. Secondly, knowing that all our players play on good pitches in Europe, why did we choose Tamale, know the state of the pitch, and not Cape Coast, which has an excellent pitch. Remember that the Ugandans all play locally on bad pitches and thus were more comfortable at Tamale. Perhaps Tamale will rather be okay for our match against the Egyptians. The GFA must know that this is African football and thus, we must strategize appropriately if we are to progress from this group. The greed must end.
