Players are fed, housed, transported and therefore allowances are enough, paying them $8000-10,000 is more than enough to play for their country, I think $1000 is fair, after all they are professionals with bigger clubs with bigger pay- playing for ones country is an honor and should be done with pride, loyalty and patriotism, that's what I call doing and dying for ones country (nationalism).
