Was it not this same biological father who virtually sold his son to a white Italian man for upbringing? He should give us a break. At least the Italians gave him a life and other opportunities to make it to where he is now.

Let's assume you're correct that, Ghana would have won the 2010 WC with Mario. It therefor goes without saying that Mario also would have won the WC with our beloved Great Ghana in 2010. That makes two losers: Ghana has not won the WC, and Mario has not won it either.
This begs the question: Who wants it more to advance his or her fortunes, Mario or Ghana? It's obviously Mario, -- at this juncture -- because time is running out on him.
As to Ghana: it's just a matter of time, -- given the abundance of young talents that God is always blessing us with. It's just up to our coaches, and the GFA to get their act together.
As one of his staunch admirers, -- who would have paid any price to sway him to declare for Ghana -- I feel terribly sorry for the way his career is unfolding. All I can do is to wish him the best.
May Lord Almighty continue to bless our beloved Great Ghana: Amen!!!

Not the best standard of journalism. Mario was born in Italy and not in Ghana. He was raised by Italian parents after his parents gave him away. He never set foot in Ghana, doesn't speak any of the local languages and only learnt English once he was in Manchester. If he regrets not chosing Ghana it's because he is not getting the call-ups from Italy, and that is based on his performance, not his skin color. When he played well, he was the shining star for Italy in the 2012 Euro tournament. And everyone loved him. Football is beyond skin color, so it's a shame Mr Barwuah makes it about that (which is a step backwards). It's about hard work and commitment to the team. After a poor FIFA world cup in 2014, he was not called again, also since he has hardly played for Liverpool and AC Milan since.

Chris I dont know if you are a white man because you evidently think like one as your submission indicates.
You are prejudiced for the white mans interest as well as their sentiments and against the interest and reality of Black footballers who play in palpably racist countries like Italy, France and the UK - whether at club level or at the national team level.
It is a very well-known fact by all Black people who can think for themselves that the Blackman in the European Diaspora has to work ten times as hard as the whiteman and suffer another ten times more deprivation in order to be given his due and recognized as such.
It does not matter whether it is in the area of sports (football), business, industries, education or even entertainment, the Blackman is always discriminated against and downgraded on the least pretext.
White employers, upon the dictates and principles of their culture, actually go out of their way to always look for reasons as to why a Blackman is inferior and not up to it.
This is more evident in the field of international politics where they refer to our leaders as dictators, undemocratic tyrants and thieves even though against the background of continuing instances of colonialism around the world, racism and economic exploitation up to today, not only do their horrific crimes against humanity makes Africans look like saints by comparison but they are also not called to account for such crimes.
Now even though I am quite happy that a clown like Balotteli has finally - even though belatedly, seen the light of day and has been put exactly where niggers are put in white society, the truth still stands that he has continued to suffer from racism throughout his career as a footballer. It would not surprise me that if his standards have indeed fallen prematurely, the over-riding tribulations and pains of having to deal with the frustrations and pains of racism at every nook and cranny of his life may have been the cause of the sudden downfall in his career.
The white people who came to Africa to steal our resources for several hundreds of years did not speak any of our languages and we did not speak any of theirs, yet, we welcomed them with open arms in the face of all odds. Your dumb analogy about Balotelli hardly being Ghanaian and therefore would not fit into the Ghanaian context does not, I am sorry, make any sense at all. Cuban baseball players who cannot speak a word of English are poached to play in the American Baseball league without any problem. African sportsmen of all categories are likewise poached to play in many countries where they cant speak their languages. Worse-still we employ national football coaches of European origin who cannot speak a word of twi, fanti, ga or even English and they manage to get by so what is your problem?
One would have assumed that in the year 2016, all 'men' in this world would have sufficiently evolved to become intelligent enough to become truly civilized in the sense that we could all become more accommodating and caring towards each other despite racial or cultural differences. However if cave-dwellers like you and white people think that it is justifiable and appropriate to still hang on to the primitive tendencies of early man to undermine the efforts of Black people only so that they can continue to exploit us, then you and them have got to think again.

Chris, I salute knowledgeable people like you. Mr. Bawuah is just making it. In the 90s the father of basketball legend (then a star) Dennis Rodman came all the way from Vietnam to reunite with his son. Dennis refused to meet and also refused to give a cent on the grounds that when they (children) needed him he refused to return home from Vietnam after the war but instead married two or three Vietnamese women. Dennis said it was because of his success in basketball that the father was looking for him. I see a similarity here.

GFA needs to do a better job reaching out to young talents born abroad. Why not have a summer training camp for those who are around 14 and 15 years age and let them come and mix with the locals and see how they do both on the football and cultural end. That would be a "win win" situation for both sides. It is a chance to really see who is good and who can fit in with local Ghana players. I think Welbeck would have been a good fit. Balotelli might have had trouble adjusting and become a KPB type.

It is not easy for Ghanaian children born and raised abroad, who have no experience of Ghana to get up and decide to play for the country. We should really applaud the few who take that bold decision...
Why do many people travel abroad and naturalize, why do some travel overseas and never return. I believe many of our players who were even born and raised in Ghana would opt to play for some foreign countries if really given the chance. I believe many would even advise their relatives to do that. Don't let us be hypocrites. The guy made a mistake which he regrets ..let's respect that and let him be - move on!!

He n his father shd give us a break, they sold themselves n shd deal with it.
Oh please, just deal with it!!!!!!
Was it not this same biological father who virtually sold his son to a white Italian man for upbringing? He should give us a break. At least the Italians gave him a life and other opportunities to make it to where he is now.
Re-Sam;The young man's problems started with his biological parents attitude towards him once he was born. Balotelli was a victim at birth. It is a lesson to all parents. No matter your financial predicament, be a responsible ...

Yeah, this does not surprise some of us who follow the game religiously. Reminds me of the you talented Adu choosing to play for the USA over Ghana. Where is he now?
Very foolish. Good thing we did better than Italy.
I advised you to chose America instead of Italy but you didn't listen. Now! Have you realised your foolishness?
THEY WILL TREAT U WORSE...U MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE. U JUST NEED TO GROW UP AND BE A DISCIPLINED PERSON. LOOK AT KPB. HIS WOMANIZING N INDISCIPLINE, DRUG USE ETC IS WHY HE CANT PLAY ANYMORE EVEN AT THE TENDER AGE OF 28. U ARE N ...

Very good, good riddance to bad rubbish, Remember that no matter how long a log remains in a dam, it will never become a crocodile.
serves him right, next will be Welbeck.
we are fine without him. Who cares what happens to his career. You dont use your left finger to point at your father's house.
You would have won the 2010 world cup with him!
Let's assume you're correct that, Ghana would have won the 2010 WC with Mario. It therefor goes without saying that Mario also would have won the WC with our beloved Great Ghana in 2010. That makes two losers: Ghana has not w ...

THIS IS WHY ITALIANS HATE AFRICANS SO MUCH. ALL BECOS OF WHAT HANNIBAL DID TO THE ROMANS
Not the best standard of journalism. Mario was born in Italy and not in Ghana. He was raised by Italian parents after his parents gave him away. He never set foot in Ghana, doesn't speak any of the local languages and only l ...

Super Mario? He is a fool. So too is Kevin Prince Boateng. Riches do fade.
Kevin prince did play for his father's country, it is his brother that plays for Germany!
Thanks for saying it all
U said it all. However even when he was playing well some fans still abused him racially.
Chris I dont know if you are a white man because you evidently think like one as your submission indicates.
You are prejudiced for the white mans interest as well as their sentiments and against the interest and reality o ...

Yes, most of the African leaders, if not all, are dictators and hold onto undemocratic power.
I like your post, well, up until you said football is beyond skin color, I think you know that's a lie...his color has played a part in why he isn't on the Italian side, if I mobile is there he should be too!
Color has nothing to do with Mario not playing for Italian national team. He was not a factor at Liverpool neither is he setting AC Milan ablaze. The dude has lost form, can't score goals and still continues with his unpred ...

GHANA WOULD HAVE DROPPED HIM IF HE LOST FORM SO THE PROBLEM IS HIS LOSS OF FORM NOT HIS COLOUR.

The guy is Italy-born and NOT Ghana-born. Please always cross-check your facts before publishing them.
Glad someone has the eyes to fish out these errors. Most of these writers at this particular site are terrible writers-period. They are a disgrace to Ghanaian journalism.
Other blacks thinking same should advise themselves. Baloteli learnt his story. I would have loved him play for Ghana but woyi wa

l'm not getting it, is it because he has lost his position that is why he is wishing that?
He was fooled by his girlfriend that black Africans lives with monkey on trees
Too early to regret, he is even going to beg @ club level if he changes not from proud to humble
Super Mario has regretted. Danny Welbeck will be next with the likes of Vardy, Kane and Alli. I do not think he will get the chance to play again. Black African footballers must. Learn and be adviced well
GFA needs to do a better job reaching out to young talents born abroad. Why not have a summer training camp for those who are around 14 and 15 years age and let them come and mix with the locals and see how they do both on t ...

Please try discipline first. No coach wants to end up with ten players on the field. Mario always does something stupid to be sent off the field. Mario is always a headache for his coaches.
I am not against the boy is going through many things. Even at camp his soul is different. Do not worry, last u should many investment in Ghana and return.!!!!!!!
Parents can say plenty, but it doesn't mean it's true.
That is good for mario. It is not only Ghanaians who black, first fool is not a fool.tell mario to stay where He is.
because of money, he wants to receive handout from the italians. Good Luck. Ghana's management is fucked up so it's hard for world class players to choose them over where they are.
you see how important to love your country irrespective of the condition of mother Ghana.this should be a lesson for all of us.
Fuck de Italians ....their not civilised ....... they were once Afrikan u know

Hands off Ghana!!!
Mario belongs to the Azzurri...
Born and raised in italy by italians...
He walks, talks and plays like an italian...
We love you Mario.. Hang in there...
your time will come again x
He Is not the only black African to have played for Italy. There is Angelo ogbonna,Stefano okaka n Stephan el-sharawy.and there also have a couple of black African players who have played for thejunior teams.
You're right, Mario Balotelli is not the only black to have played for Italy but he is the first black to make it to Italy's national team. El Sharrawy isn't black, he's Egyptian by father and Italian by mother.
What goes around comes around. Any child who uses the left to point at his father land will definitely suffer the consequences. Balloteli it serves you right.

Indiscipline is the result of his downward spiral. Balotelli thinks he is the best and as such he can act in anyway but lo and behold....
mario is my man.he is a sincere player.he scores when it is not expected.i hope they will let him play.he will put smile on the face of italians again.hope to meet him one day as i am also living in italy.
lost child
It serves Balloteli and all like minded footballers a lesson. Peter Tosh said in a song"no matter where you come from as long as you are a black man, you're an African".
Who cares?
Silly Ghanaians doesn't have nothing good for you so you did the right thing not to play for Ghana
We told you so but you did not listen see almost all the African players who chooses Europe over their mothers country are still crying
U can have skills but f u behave like a stupid teen then u don't deserve to play for the national team of any country.
attitude killing this man & his talents
Not GH or Italy..its mario's attitiude
Ghana national team is not parmenent for anybody.if you are in form you play,if you deform you go out.
When was the last time the father talked to him.
And wasn't it the so "prestigious" Italian national team that got destroyed by Germany during the friendly, with all their homegrown real Italian talent.
No he's not black at the time he saw himself as a whiteman,he was told before his decision by Italians that they don't ve black Italians, this is something he going to leave with for the rest of his live.
