Ghana flying cash, players/management debacle, players had to wait 3 hours in front of a cheap hotel that had a leaking roof, Nyantakyi accompanied by daughters, wives & who else ; Nigeria not training for days because of non payment of allowances, Cameroon players fighting each other (throwing blows) on the field all because management has employed divide & rule, . Do u blame players solely for these blatant mishaps? Most of the kids not raised in Africa cannot fathom such things.
My grand daughter, 8 years old, visited Ghana & witnessed a driver handing over an amount of money to a traffic policeman in front of our house. After explaining to her it was a money & that had the driver not done that, the officer would have kept the driver there for ever , her immediate response was "did the driver buy anything from the police man? As l replied no, she replied then he shouldn't have given him the money. About 5 drivers who followe encountered same fate & this young girl remarked "so is he taking money from all of them"? She just could not understand why until she boldly went to the officer & said "my grandpa says you are taking money from those people, why? The officer, looked at her with disdain without uttering a word & less than 7 mins, the spot check was moved, probably to another location. Are u blaming this kid for being "nosy" or the flaw in the system? Several kids in our house of the same age or a little older never questioned that practice because they had seen this happening several times & think it is the order of the day
