We read about 2nd- and 3rd-division Ghanaian players in Europe all the time, so why not those in 1st division in the Middle East?

Because the 2nd and 3rd divisions in Europe have produced top rate players of the national teams in Ghana and Africa as a whole. eg. The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon had many if not most of their player in those leagues when ... read full comment
Because the 2nd and 3rd divisions in Europe have produced top rate players of the national teams in Ghana and Africa as a whole. eg. The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon had many if not most of their player in those leagues when they became the first African Team to reach quarter finals in the world cup. Ghana's Junior Agogo is another case in point. Middle East leagues have mostly caused good players to deteriorate at a faster rate. eg. Asamoah Gyan
