A great tree has fallen! My heart is palpittating on hearing this sad news of one of the illustrious sons of football. C.K Gyamfi's football history should be documented by the media for not only our young footballers and coaches to emulate but as an appreciation of his immense contribution to the game of football...a great player and exemplary coach. My hearth-felt condolence to his family and greater football family. May God allow him to enter heaven with a football in hand.

As I grew up my respect for you even grew all the more as you made Ghana proud in all your endeavours but particularly as black stars' coach. No other coach, local or foreign has matched you yet. In your retirement you gave room to successive coaches to play their part.
Your "The Ghanaian can do spirit" is your legacy for posterity.
Rest in peace.

"Everything foreign is better" was not the mentality of CK Gyamfi's generation, it is the mentality of people today. Kwame Nkrumah was a confident leader who encouraged Black people to use their brains to solve their own problems (Do it yourself mentality) and it was huge success, not only in sports but in all aspects of life. Ghana became the leading producer of cocoa and consequently the richest country in Africa because of this spirit of "you can, so do it yourself" as opposed to relying on foreigners to do things for us. Rest in peace CK-"Barima beyeebi"
