They have their priorities in order and have better readiness and modern infrastructure. Caf representatives.should compare Ghana's ailing soccer infrastructure, roads and electricity to that of Algeria and make the wisest decision..that's all I'm saying. GHANAWEB IS AFRAID TO CARRY THIS BAD MESSAGE.
Kumasi — Algeria's MC El Eulma qualified to the last sixteen of the African Champions League of football, after beating Ghanaian counterpart, AS Asante Kotoko (2-1), half (0-1) in the second leg of the Round of 32 match, played Sunday in Kumasi (Ghana).
The goals were scored by Owusu (40') for Asante and Derardja (61') and Hamiti (90 + 5') for the MCEE.
During the "first leg" match played in El Eulma (Setif), both teams drew 0-0.
In the next round, El-Eulma will square off with Tunisian club CS Sfax.
Besides MCEE, two other Algerian clubs in this competition, ES Setif (defending champion) and USM Alger qualified for the Round of 16, respectively eliminating Real Banjul of Gambia 2-0 (1-1 in the first leg) and the Senegalese AS Pikine 1-1 (5-1 in the first leg).

This is good news for Ghana because it has saved the country millions that would have ended in the pockets of corrupt ministers and sports officials. Ghana hosted the games in 2008 so what is the rush to host another one? How many countries in Africa are capable of hosting the African Cup of Nations? Ghana cannot pay its bills to the GET Fund, NHIS and Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies, yet Ayariga wanted to host the games just to satisfy his ego. What is the government's priorities?

A country without a stable electricity thinking of hosting such an important tournament is not ready, period. We should be thinking of restoring energy crisis first, why do we always think on a short term. Building a better institutions takes time and effort whereas doing shody work doesn't requires skills. What is going on in the country is very pathetic and unprecedented. It appears we don't have stakeholders who have strong understanding of a building a nation. Are we being cursed or just that nobody thinks about the next generation... Sometimes I wonder if attaining degrees from a recognized colleges and universities only makes a difference in the western world. Why can't do the same back home? Here the institutions are working to make sure accountability and transparency plays a vital role in the society. Let's change our brains and minds to restore Ghana with integrity, protect and serve the nation. People come and go, we all have a very limited time on this planet. The future is very bleak.
