The problem can be solved easily, just follow the US system. If you don't go to college no basketball pro for you. Except some few exceptional talents who are plucked from high school. A similar approach could be used in Gh ... read full comment
The problem can be solved easily, just follow the US system. If you don't go to college no basketball pro for you. Except some few exceptional talents who are plucked from high school. A similar approach could be used in Ghana. Pick only school going kids and get their registration done through GES and bingo , you solved the problem. At all levels of the national teams except BS, use academicals from the various academies or the schools...... sometimes I wonder what our problem is. Where are afraid to fix the problem or just plain dumb. Once again, the system needs purging. Too many square pegs in round holes and our universities keep churning out graduate professionals who can't find jobs. To get results in all sectors, it's obvious non performers need to be fired..... it's about time Ghanaians abroad come home to show you guys how it's done.

Your plan won't work!! Unless that is the way forward coming from FIFA! Ghana will be beaten by every African national team! Also in corrupt Africa, what stops Africans from giving admission or degrees to even illiterates!

Let them step forward and you will realize the majority of them will come as a cheat, liar, thief, pervert, corrupt, lazy, wife beater, adulterer and fornicator, etc, etc. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it? There's something seriously wrong in Ghana. Look at everybody, from the president of the nation to the village chief to abusua panyin to the mothers and fathers in the homes. There are too many broken homes and the mothers are over-burdened with taking care of the children and the house needs. There is too much poverty in our system where a few have too much wealth not from their hardwork but from stealing and cheating. Success must only come from honest and diligent labor. Something is seriously wrong with our moral code.

I don't think the Black Meteors team is going anywhere, anyways! They don't play any impressive game, but that's my opinion though. I wish the coach could raise the bar to get some positive results, soon!
