wakasu certainly a better performer than badu & rabiu but wakasu must aimed at finding his mates with his passes and he must aim at putting the ball on the ground than lifting it and must reduce the number of high long passes.

My question is: wasn't Gyan's crucial goal against Algeria from a long, high Wakaso pass? Wasn,t Atsua goal against Guiea a result of a long Wakaso pass. Some of you guys know very lttle abou footbll.

if you want to feed djan with long passes, they must be the one that is directed ahead of him to use his pace. if it is directed at him where he must trap control & turn, its most invariably useless. there are some sleek footed players in the team now who when the ball is placed on the ground they will thrive. kwesi appiah, atsu, andre and even djan himself thrive well when the ball is on the ground. take a look @ the first goal. wakasu's long high passes mustn't be too much & predictable; they must be opportunistic. he must put some more sense in converting dead ball situations.

I personally think rabiu Mohammed is better than afriyie acquah. Rabiu is the proverbial donkey of GB. At his peak he covers the defenders so well that one wonders if he is not actually a defender. His tackles are timely but accurate and strong and also wins all 50-50 balls. He is taller than most defenders so tend to clear aerial balls easily on the defends. He is more disciplined than agyeman badu who most people had not even noticed he is a defencive midfielder. Avram Grants 3-5-2 tactics was part of the reason we lost to Senegal. Rabiu was completely overwhelmed with his new task and new tactics hence his early exit but on the whole he's been one of our toughest defensive mid fielders if not the best. Don't rule him out yet because of the brilliant performance of Afriyie Acquah.

I think Rabiu has a place in a game where we have a lead. He is an excellent defender. His weakness is that he has trouble shooting on frame.

there is no need rabiu and agyemang badu should be brought on for bringing on sake. in the extra time of the guinea match andre who i have issues with gave rabiu a very intelligent pass from a free kick unmarked and see how rabiu connected it. it was an apology. with what afriyie acquah is doing, wakasu do some satisfactory work, the players we should be praying for the coach to bring into the midfield are kofi bekoe and asiedu attobrah who are capable adding some quantity of inventive play or ingenuity into our midfield endeavour.

Yes the 2 did well in the midfield holding role. But their tackling was a bit too crunchy leading to the Stars conceding free-kicks in dangerous areas. Wakaso in particular must be careful with his tackles. He is sometimes very slow on the ball and gets dispossessed and then in an attempt to regain control fouls the opponent. They must play it hard as they are doing but they must be levelled-headed especially against the home team in order not to make it easier for the referee to cheat us. I wish them Good Luck and may they be protected from injuries.
