I had the opportunity to watch the match and in my opinion, The coach(Mr James Kwasi Appiah rather took a prudent approach by protecting the players. Let us reason here: The rate at which key players are getting injured is alarming and we cannot afford to put our players at risks at this time. You are a very experienced player that I respect and you would agree with that each match is unique in its own way and a technical coach would definitely know which players to use when going against a particular team. Our opening match against USA is very crucial and can either make or break GHANA and as such a meticulous approach was imperative to make an informed decision which I think The coach did. Please do not get me wrong because all the players who made the squad are equally important. Nevertheless, it is highly important to maintain a balance in a friendly match and protect all your players for important matches ahead of them. If these substitutions were made in a crucial game like our opening match then I would have joined you to crucify the coach. I still respect your point of view but frankly, this is how I see it.

So far as i m concerned there are 3 standards of quality in the blackstars: essien and kpb standard; kwadwo, muntari, andre,kwarasey, opare, atsu, warris standards then the rest. What it means is that if kwesi should succed in deploying the very best 11 @ any given time, which soo far he hasn't, substitutioning will be dwindling the standard of play.
