I disagree with your assessment... English championship is better than premiere league in most countries and THA fact that he helped them get to the EPL next season means a lot

Good day brothers, I respect ya opinions due to freedom of speech but will plead with everyone to calm down. Watching this guy play will tell you that he can play in Brazil and do well for Ghana. Let's not forget we ave a problem at left back and he is a striker turned left back so he can b useful as K.Asamoa n will free Asamoa to beef up d midfield as our strength has always come from d midfield. I suggest Appiah selects him so Appiah will have lots of game plans eg playing Afful N Opare on D right against Germans & US respectively using Schlupp N Asamoa on D left against US& Germans; & come up with a totally new system against D Portuguese. We should load our midfield with experience N quality in d likes of K.Asamoah, Essien, Muntari, Prince, Wakaso, Badu as they can frustrate our opponents n win us games. If our strikers especially Gyan can take @ least 2 of the chances that comes his way with Warris N Prince scoring too, we will go far. Pls don't forget K.Asamoa, Dede, Muntari, Wakaso, Atsu N co can all score on a given day. Let's just pray for the team N on a good day Ghana will b @ d semi final. God bless our home land Ghana, God bless us all especially those who take the time to contribute here. Am out

Dont forget Stephen Tataw of Cameroun was playing in the second division in Cameroun but was invited to the world cup of Italian 90 where he captained them to the quarter finals; He was captain over Rodger Milla, Makanaky, Oman Biyik Thomas Nkono and Antionne Bell who were all based in France.
Also totto Schilacchi, the top scorer at Italian 90 was the leading scorer in the Italian second division in 1990 so was selected into the National team and he made a name for himself and helped his team to d finals by scoring in every game. People should know that most of the countries going to Brazil have their players playing in the English Championship, it's a good league so if Jeffery Schullp has established himself amongst them, hey trust me he is a good material lets take him to Brazil as we already have problems at left back. His height n build is also good for the team when it comes to playing and defending set pieces. God less our homeland Ghana, god bless us all. Good luck black Stars

Our biggest weakness is at the left back position. If this guy can play left back, and can also score, he should definitely be in the team.

It is always an advantage when a striker turns defender as Schlupp has. It was Alex Ferguson's recommendation to Leicester City that has paid off. He is fast robust and skillful coming forward on the overlap. He has also got height to be relied on at defending set pieces as has been pointed out. With him, David Addy who is also tall/skillful and B Rahman we should be able to have options that will aid the structure for a balanced team.
. Afful and Opare should stick to the right back being right-footed defenders. It should be obvious that the Black stars lack quality crosses from the wings. This limits our options for penetration and goal scoring chances.
