Why not just say you wanted to keep it private, and then say it was the wrong decision to keep it private, since you work for a publicly-held enterprise (Hearts)?
I bet you would have been very happy, no regrets, if you had been signed.

My, I am a man of integrity but I would have done same......players are not treated and paid well.....hence there is a push factor to cause some of these guys to vanish for greener pastures. We can attract other top players ... read full comment

We can attract other top players into our premier league only if the welfare of the player is attended to, if we claim Ghana soccer has come of age, then our league should be one of the best on the continent to attract young African talent.
