THEY NEED ADEQUATE SECURITY AND PROTECTION AT ALL LEVELS EVERY WHERE, ON AND OFF THE FIELD OF PLAY, WHETHER IN VILLAGES OR BIG TOWNS, BECAUSE OF THE EMOTIONS THAT CHARACTERIZE THE GAME OF FOOTBALL ALL OVER THE WORLD. THEY NEED UNQUALIFIED PROTECTION. MAY REFEREE ANDOH REST IN PEACE!

Come on fellow country men and women, we haven't learnt any lessons from the Mayhem that struck our most loved sport in the country? I am very sad and extend my deepest heart felt condolence to the family and his survivors.

very very disgraceful we are still in primitive mind sets. if the matches are being video taped any decision about the match can be reviewed if there is a protest instead of beating referees.

I must confess that foot all fans in Bordie are very violent. I know this referee personally as we come from the same village, I taught him and he has watched me play active football when he was a kid on numerous occasions. I played in the then second division and anytime we visit that Bordie village for an away game, they tend to beat players and officials from the opposing team when they draw and or loose and decisions don't go their way. I am a Christian and well educated not to believe in football juju so has never practised it but I remember an occasion in Bordie when the fans came onto the pitch to grab my gloves that I had juju in it simply because they were loosing 1-0 and I saved an injury time dubious penalty (2000).The referee had to award it to escape from their clutches as they were very hostile throughout the entire 90 mins. What I want to say here is that GFA must ban football entirely in that dirty village where nothing is planned despite the presence of a police station. This will serve as a deterrent to other villages who practice violent in football. Also, the coach, team manager and most of the home team players should be detained for questioning as surely someone saw a fan assaulting this 21 year old referee with an ambition. They are lucky his biological dad died some few years ago he would have taken them including the GFA to court for manslaughter, murder and or diminished responsibility including grevious bodily harm. This was a man who settled all his grievances in court because he was a no nonsense man and he always won. May both souls rest in Peace and May bordie town never play football on their soil again. All pitches should be constructed into libraries or into hospital as they lack that and common sense. Since 14 years ago and beyond, I have known and heard many stories of hooliganism in football in Bordie when I moved to that region from Takoradi to teach in that District. I had never witnessed any such thing in Kwesimintsim my hometown where life is hot. God bless us all including the departed; and May the Law deal with everyone involved in this act to deterr others in following suit, until then Bordie will never stop their violence in football.
