The truth is that his strikers were goal-shy because the midfielders were inept; selfish and unable to string passes together. Yes you can play a defensive strategy. But at least you must teach the midfielders how to feed the forwards and the wingers how to deliver good crosses. In all the matches they played, midfielders appeared to lose ideas in the final third. The only way the attackers were fed the ball was when it was balooned from deep by the defenders. And because the attackers lack the physique they were always dispossessed. I think Max should learn how to play defensive football and launch quick counter attacks and also find ways on how the strikers can be given defence splitting and killer passes in other to improve their goal scoring chances.

Maxwel Konadu has no excuse to give as you could see his instructions to the boys was to drag the match with Nigeria deliberately to a penalty shootout which he believed is his team sure bet to win the game against Nigeria. With a One Goal Project mentality; how can Ghana raise players who can score goals, even Asamoah Gyan who is Ghana's top scorer is caught up in tge illicit solicited penalty project for winning games. All can see how many times Asamoah Gyan and Yahaya Mohammed tried to dramatically fall in the penalty box in order to attract the attentions of referee, and how Ghanaians all over celebrate an illicit penalty awards.
Time it is for Black Stars starts playing resl football and stop the short cut to earning football glory. This dhort cut mentality is also what has accounted for the poor and ugly football Black Stars play these days and Ghanaians seem happy for as long as it brings penalty victories. 98% of goals scored by the Black Stars in both AFCON 2013 & CHAN 2014 were via penalties, for God's sake what kind of fooball can one describe this. Konadu should keep quite and think of how to make a change in the style of play of both the senior Black Stars and the Loca Stars. The time is now cos the World Cup has no rooms for antics.

If Coach Maxwell Konadu is comfortable with Silver in the just-ended CHAN tournament, I believe we could have done better if our team had the ability to score goals. Football is all about goals and winning; it's not about packing your mid-field and defence and hope to progress in a tournament with penalty shoot-outs. The Libyans showed us they were better than us.
Coach Konadu should better get the filla about modern science in football that could help us control a game that what we've exhibited so far. There's more to be done and that is a fact!
