For me Ahorlu is far better than Dauda, but who would give him that chance? With the lot of politics here and there, ONLY A MIRACLE can bring him back in to the Black Stars.

Dauda and Ahorlu hail from the same place-Madina in the greater Accra Region. They both started keeping almost at the same age when they were about 10 years old. They do not even live far from each other in Madina (just about 1 mile or 1500km). They competed several times in colts matches and during Monday Stars games (when professionals come on holidays to play on Mondays at Old Road Madina.
Both keepers had one thing in common; they assisted their mothers to sell food by their houses.
Dauda made the Premier league entry first and Ahorlu followed. Everyone who knows these two guys would remember their dawn jogging around popular streets of Madina when they were about 12yrs old. At a point they trained together on the Madina Roman Catholic School field; a stone throw from Ahorlu's house.
Who would have thought these then skinny little guys would man the post of their national team years back? Ahorlu went to the world cup in 2010. Dauda is now gearing to go to the same in 2014.
God always have different ways of rewarding hard work no matter the length of time and the circumstance.
The two pair of hands that were periodically holding on to sugar cane busy chewing on their way home from training at their early teens are now the pair of hands that went to save the national team in 2010 and are going to save the national team in 2014 at the World Cup! Hard work surely pays!

He is just a small boy. I don't think he is old. I have seen him before. I wish Akwasi Appiah gives him a chance.

Don't be shouting from the roof's top for a call up to the national team, the coach have his own criteria for selection.

This appeal should be coming from Adam Kwarasey who has been frozen out of first choice consideration, even though he plays all the time as captain of the Norwegian champions this season, and was voted the best goalkeeper in the Norwegian top flight. Please let us not waste a good talent like we did to Sammy Adjei.

Adam's issue is a little more complicated.I like the boy's demeanor but he has in recent years been lagging at international matches.I don't know if he gets intimidated or what the deal is but the Adam we see performing for his club is totally different from the one in Black stars' post who allow ridiculous goals.May be he can show us some fire before Brazil, otherwise I say keep the status quo.

Well if AA fails to make Kwarassay our No 1 goalkeeper and continue to put bench warmers in the post, our trip to Brazil will become a picnic.

Adam takes things for granted. You can never play the black stars with your natural abilities alone. Sad as it is to succeed at that level you need a great spiritual backing.
