Essien should move on with his life in another club altogether. Mourinho didn't see the value of Lukaku but now every one have seen Lukaku has scored more goals this season than the aggregate of all Chelsea strikers goals this season .
Essien shouldn't think Mourinho loves him too much.When you fall out of Mourinho plans all you need to do is to find another club or be bench forever.

Essien, we all know didn't play any of the games since the beginning of the BPL but there are a lot of games he was on the bench for. It looks like Mourinho has so many midfielders that is hard to field all of them and those playing well now don't want to come out even if they're injured because of fears of losing their place to the player that replaces them. Chelsea has 9 games in December and every player, fit, will get to play during that time. The earlier rotation implemented by Mou was done to get the team ready for December. There's no time for rest from now on as they play on every midweek from now until December 29. They have 10 games between now and that time and every player will get a chance to feature in some games.
Mikel is a defensive midfielder, good but slows the game down, who should play whenever David Luiz plays because of Luiz's potential to go forward and cause blunder in the back. Lampard is playing because Mou wants to send him to Brazil 2014 and playing him regularly is the only way he can get to play in that worldcup. He also wantts to get the English Press off his back by playing him because he's England's darling boy and regardless how old he gets, he'll always play if he's still at Chelsea and Mou is the Boss. Bench a BLACK English (Star) player and the Press will let you live but bench a WHITE English (Star) player and they'll eat you alive. Even the great Sir Alex was not spared when he benched Rooney for the game against Real Madrid. Mou is a smart coach who doesn't want to bring untold pressure on his players and so far he's doing what he does best, absorbing pressure for his players while given them unimpeded minds to play football, which so far they are horrible at. The y always play well in the first 45minutes and crumble in the next 45, whether home or away. Poor Chelsea!

RAS-VULTURE, Please Do not let us reduce a very serious issue to comparism between MIKEL & ESSIEN in the mid-field compartments of Chelsea because it's the only department that has the largest number of competing world class young players in Chelsea thus comparing the 2 African Chelsea mid fielders smarks very undesirous and unhealthy local rivalry. There's the Harzards, Remires, Oscars, Lampard, Mikel and hosts of other younger, energetic players maturing through the ranks, its the most difficult department in Chelsea to retain a position for too long.
You have simply just exposed the pain in your heart and your preference for Essien over Mikel which makes your argument unintelligent because no single Chelsea player had a prerogative of selecting himself for any martch. Maourinho does selection as he deems fit and if he finds Mikel suitable for a role either than Essien; that can only be his choice within his game plan. Do not forget you cannot box Mikel & Essien into the same game plan because Essien is more offensive while Mikel is more of a box-to-box defensive oriented mid fielder; so how do you compare the two.
It is totally wrong for you RAS-VULTURE to try and impose your preference for Essien on Maourinho who has a contract to excel on his second coming; a success he must achieve not by sentiments borne out of any rivary from a remote cornner of West African. Ghanaians don't sieze to amaze me when it comes to celebrrations of mediocrity, every other football observers including Maourino have seen the end of Essien football career drawing to a close except Ghanaians who still think there still remain some energy in the old horse expend. What does it benefit Essien to continue to warm bench when he could have more playing time with less glamorous clubs elsewhere.
The signal for Essien to leave Chelsea is clear as a daybreak, Maourino is not prepared to gamble with his coaching carrer just on a flimsy accolade of Essien calling him "my daddy, my daddy", football at that level is not played by sentiment of partronage. Essien still hangs on in Chesea just on ego seeking pleasure of being called Chelsea player.
Why can't Essien look back into the record books if he actually hasn't given his best to Chelsea in the past and be sincere with himself if there is left anymore energy in him to surpass those glorious days when he was the engiene room of Chelsea. Essien should recognise when the ovation is loudest and ask for transfer elsewhere where playing time awaits him.
Your contemporaries in Drogba, Kaloun, Malouda, Ballak etc. have left honorably and doing so well in other clubs and are also fantastic for their countries on international stage as demonstrated in recent world cup qualifiers. The whole world including your "father" Maourino saw how arbismal you performed and left the Egyptian to run riot in heart of the field against the Pharaohs.
This is the time to leave Chesea cos you have nothing more to prove at the Stansford Bridge except your apperance bringing good memories of your past best perfomances. Luckily you have laid a perfect foundation for the likes of Atshu to ride on, or do you want to remain untill Atshu comes next season to capture permanent position while you continue to play the role of grandfather for Atshu on the bench. ESSIEN, TIME TO LEAVE IS NOW.

That's not entirely true, what you just assessed! Essien is playing really well but the fact is Chelsea has more midfielders in their team more than anywhere else. In fact they have over twenty midfielders and more than 12 of them are on loan and there are about ten with the team currently. If you have a situation where Juan Mata,Willian,Mikel, Andre Shurrle all warming the bench beside Essien, you know the competition is tight. Don't forget Kevin De Bruyne, Van Ginkel, who's injuried right now and you'll realize Chelsea is packed in the midfield.
Malouda, Ballack, Drogba are in their mid-30s with the exception of Kalou who's about 28 while Essien is 30, a very good age for most footballers
