Daniel Opare is a good player, but yes, his tackling are too dangerous. He is awesome in overlapping, great in anticipation; jumps well with his eye on the ball mostly, have brilliant crosses, shield his balls, meaning it is difficult to take ball from him, and has the speed to complement all these qualities.
On the contrary, most of his contacts are risky. This gives officiates the opportunity to thrown him off his games by showing him cards. For him not to admit the fact that he plays rough wouldn't help. I wish he would have time to watch himself play. In other words, his clips should be given to him after each match. Through this, I believe he could correct his mistakes when on the pitch.
A player in his caliber, we can't afford to loose him now he is a regular player and also can serve as a back-up to most of the defensive positions. The young man can play 2-3 and 4. He is has it all. Therefore, he should be helped to admit his mistakes and take it from there. Playing 10 against 11 in a WC tournaments, wouldn't be a easy task at all.
Here is a situation the coach, Kwasi Appiah may need to work on even when the player is outside playing for his club. Appiah could send the player the clips of Zambia, Japan, and Egypt matches for the player to watch when the player is on his relaxing mood. Feed him with good things and help him overcome such obstacle that can portray him as a bad defender. Not only Opare. This can be done to all the players. They should be prepared by starting it from now.

He should work on his physique,I think that is his problem which defenders want to take advantage of.He should study Evra & Alaba, both players are smallish but firm on the ground.

Opare is good. What is happening is that his asset which is acceleration and speed are being used against him by his opponents during tackles. He just has to be aware of the antidote being used against his asset.

I have never seen any tape of Opare playing for his club. My impression watching a few times he has played for the Black Stars tells me he is over exuberant. He needs to be just exuberant, meaning he needs to tone down his energy and enthusiasm to the right level. He reminds me of Osei Kuffour. The difference is that Kuffour played with his mind, body and soul. Opare has a lot of talent but he seems to loose his mind unnecessarily and it affects his game. In Ghana-Egypt game he easily gave up a scoring chance on a set piece for pushing and tugging instead of just marking the attacker and paying attention to the ball. On this same play he argued when one of his teammates who tried to correct him. I think he is more talented than Kuffour but he needs to keep a cool head in order eliminate the unnecessary fouls, miss tackles and bad passes from his game.

I believe he can be one of the best in the world if he can just focus on playing simple football. I just love it when this guy bust forward!!
