Roger Miller was 42 and performed better than most of the younger players on the Cameroon team at the WC. An old player may become easily tired but goalies don't do much running to get tired. However, goalies can lose their agility and vision with age. But like I stated earlier in my statement, if the skill levels are equal, then age should be no problem.

In order not to get entangle in this stupidity of cheating, the Nation should drop him. After all, he has become a liability to the team after being recalled.
Olele should understand that and stop becoming like our politicians who can't leave the scene for younger people.

Rastafarai, as a matter of fact even if Olele is hundred years old, it doesn't matter. For as long as he's got very good eye sight, good reflexes and he's better than the other young goalkeepers, he's got every right to stay in the goal post of the senior national team.
On the other hand, it's important to know his actuall age in order to access him better. We understand age cheating has been going on for far too long with our players but for 13 good years difference putting a player in his late 40's is very scary. Chances are, he could be in his late 50's because he's lied to every soccer club he's plied his trade with as well as the senior national team. We don't have to risk putting in a 50 year old man in post only to let in cheap goals. We don't know what he's capable of and what he's not. May be he can dive but might not be able to get up early enough. He can squat but might not be able to stand immediately etc etc. Remember, he's had convulsions during the course of play due to a crash. We have to be careful, Olele has to come clean for a thorough check.

It doesn't matter how physical or athletic you are, your strength diminishes gradually as you keep going high up in age. We remember the dramatic saves Olele made to keep us longer in past competitions but it doesn't mean we should consider his past and sympathize with him by giving him a call. This is not a joke, it's serious business and we need our best. If Olele is the best, so be it but for his age, let's carefully monitor him to avoid any disappointment.

If you read my comment very often you'll note that when Kwarasey took over as the first choice keeper, I started talking about the need for Olele to take a course to become goalkeepers trainer. This is because he stands as the best candidate in Ghana today for that position with the B/Stars but he knows what's best for him and that's what he's doing.

If Olele is in poles regularly with his club then he has to be in poles when we are playing Egypt. We should know that if he is not good, his current club will not sign him up to be their regular keeper. The Fatau Dauda you guys think has to be in poles is right now sitting on bench at South Africa. He is not regular keeper but second so we should just keep quite and watch the coach. If Kingson is 48 years and can keep the goal poles better than Fatau Dauda then he has to do it for Ghana. Fatau Dauda clud in South Africa is not better than the club he was playing in Ghana before going there so if he goes to sit on bench overthere, then GFA will now put question mark to his goal keeping. Most of the clubs in Ghana are better than the club he is playing in South Africa so he shouldn't be on bench.

The former Soviet Union goalkeeper was old and yet he performed well in the post. Age is not necessarily a barrier to stopping shots between two posts so long as his reflexes are ok.
