For your information, I was on the field during every training session prior to that 1983 final match and I can tell you for a fact that Yahaya Kassum's role was master minded by Ibrahim Sunday just to destroy every Egyptian move because of his stature. Coach Akwasi Appiah was then a player of that squad and knows this too well. Besides, the Egypt style of play in those years has changed entirely from what they play today.

Our players are good but not to Egypt standard and I would admonish any claim by Ghanaians to brush aside the Pharaohs of Egypt.
They are tight in all angles but we are fragile in front and defense.
Check back from Germany 2006 world cup to date and ask yourself. Why Ghanaians failed to learn from the same goals they have been conceding since.
We will not qualify for the world cup, unless our defense sealed their ass and our striking dancers, get serious on the filed.
