Diamond, for Fatau Dauda to be our number one choice, I don't think anyone disagree that. The same way I don't disagree of bringing in Richard Kingston if only he is fit and good to become our third choice keeper. We don't have a third keeper, and even second at the moment, Adam is not that fit as we all know. So do you want only Fatau to be called? What if something happened?
Oti Akenteng is not condemning the invitation of Kingston. Mr. Oti doesn't want the coach to be intimidated to invite any unfit player. If the keeper is fit, and is playing regularly, and playing well, I don't think Mr. Oti can stop him of being invited.
To me, whether Olele should be called or not shouldn't be the question. The questions should be is he fit to be in poles, is he good enough to be a Black Stars Keeper, and can he help us get passed Egypt and beyond?

There are equal and good players in the local league who can be a third goalkeeper it the job of Akwesi Appiah to search within and stop looking for ready made. It took Under 20 tournament in Turkey to discovery Ebenezer Assifuah-Inkoom who is playing his football in Ghana. Olele had played only 3 matches we can make the same case for John Mensah, Stephen Appiah never had a team for 2 years they keep calling him. We have players who do not make it to the bench on their team list.

I'm glad you brought in the U-20 team that won the third place at the recent wc. Their goalkeeper who was in poles at the last match, I think could as well be monitored. He is equally good.
Now, if you think I'm advocating for Kingston then that is wrong. I'm not. I'm advocating for he who is fit and good for the national team. That is why I said, if Olele is good and fit and having playing time is his club, who are we to stop him from getting that opportunity?
When you look at it, it is not the same as John Mensah's case. For John, he doesn't have a club and has not being playing for over a year now. At least, Olele has started and from what I saw, he is not too rusty. Therefore, if the coach finds Olele to be good in poles, I think, he should be given that chance to justify his inclusion.
That is all I'm saying.

Even tho some of these local players could be good, vouching for any of them at this eleventh hour, is untenable. Who is on your mind?
That local hand on your mind may not have proved anything yet to merit a call up for now. At least not for this crucial decider.
Slimmer, as well as I do is rooting for Olele. Cuz, he has a track record. And that, as an august, freelance soccer journalist we all know, his prescription for Olele is in the right direction.
He's outwardly suggesting that, at worst, he be made a third string in that order just to augment or light up that department in what I termed as an 'insurance policy' in the event of the unexpected be made to 'stand in' OR take over, wouldn't be a bad idea at all.
Its that difficult to consider or understand?
However, let it be known that nobody gets paid here in the forum, not even the Governor.
We write for the passion of it.
What we say/recommend here is not incumbent on the policy makers to make and unmake.

It is not only the GBS, and or coach MRAA that is on the war path trying to cross the Mediterranean into Egypt.
The 24 million of us, the traditional and the proverbial Ogyakromians, are poised to cross too.
"Together we cross or sink"
Honestly, for the crack of the brain, pursuant to the 'cheek of it',
it is not only the coach, the technical crew, nor the few people in the GFA top hierarchy, that know, or can see the best players to represent Ghana. We the entire adult soccer franchise, the tax payer, all the motivators of the game, albeit the hard core fans who beds the GBS only for football reasons can also see filifili, and even better than what they can see.

Fatau or Kwarasey conceding any kind of goal would still meet the conventional wrath of the people.
The very act of conceding a goal is every goalkeeper's nightmare. But these goal that whisk past keepers are inevitable.
Forward liners make sure a striking ball beat the keepers in order to be declared winners. You can imagine how vulnerable these keepers are.
They are the prime target of every game.
So what the heck Mr D?
Kwarasey is a fine catcher spot on, height and all that. But lacks the "great anticipation". Very jittery in between the post.
He appears 'introvertial' to me when on duty. Can we afford the experiment?
Dauda is another fine subject of the game. Unfortunately, he appears too primitive and consecutive to me.
Besides, he's slightly short of quick decision making.i.e. when to come out and when to stay put.
He suffers, in what I call, 'elephantiasis' of the mouth. Meaning, he hardly moves by word, unable to direct his rearguards into position.
He lacks the practice of throwing the ball to his 'open midfielders'. Instead, he loves to unguardedly, lob the ball up the air into opponents hands.

At the 2007 Women's World Cup semi-final, US coach Greg Ryan placed Briana Scurry instead of Hope Solo in goal against Brazil for what looked like good-old-days sentimantal reasons.
Result: Brazil 4, US 0.

Currently Fatau is dormant and bit rusty as evidenced in our match against Zambia. Kwarasey is not all fit due to injury. So who else should we use?, POW or Mr.N?.Demba is a keeper and knows what is saying. Hmm, "A word to th ...

I would go with Fatau in the first game.
He was there against Zambia.
He will bring along his familiarity with the turf in that high-tension game.
He looks more confident than Kwasey in the posts.
He is as intimidat ...

Let sleeping dogs lie.
Fatau, Kwasey and whoever that third one is.
If Kingson comes in and concedes one goal, you'll see how 99% of the people here will react.
You mean one goal? Count me in and make the percentage 100 because I will as well. Diamond, I don't think even if he is called, he would be our number one goalie. This means he is coming to sit on the bench unless something d ...

Fatau or Kwarasey conceding any kind of goal would still meet the conventional wrath of the people.
The very act of conceding a goal is every goalkeeper's nightmare. But these goal that whisk past keepers are inevitable.

Yes you and I were not there :)
Am 35 years and saw Kingston playing for black stars when I was a boy. I guess the man don't age
I LIKE KINGSTON BUT AGAINST THE RECALL BECAUSE LACK OF CONTINUITY, AGE AND POSSIBLY LACK OF FLEXIBILITY, AND ABOVE ALL POOR PENALTY PERFORMANCE. STAY WITH THE YOUNG AND ACTIVE. FOR THE COACH AND THE GFA, BOTH ARE USELESS. WHY ...

FATAU DAUDA IS BUSY WARMING THE BENCH IN RSA AND IS USING WORK PERMIT AS EXCUSE , LIES!!!
get him to get used to the defenders
I personally think our goalkeeping department is a bit shaky. When Kingson was around, there was a bit more security and confidence with him in the post. I don't feel the same with Dauda and Kwarasey. He deserves a recall!
Olele is much stabler and experienced than Fatau. It will do the whole nation good to recall Olele.
WAT IS WRONG WITH GH PPL? ITS AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT. WAT IS WRONG WITH FATAU? I THINK HE IS EVEN BETER THAN HE WAS WHEN HE WAS IN GH. IN S AFRICA, HE IS LEARNING WITH BETTER COACHES, BETTER GOALIES, MORE IMPROVED COMPETITION ...
