The GFA would be roping a rope around their necks if they are begging the Ayews to return. What about if next time the team decides to invite four strikers or five strikers and select Gyan, Boakye Yiadom, Waris, Otoo and Accam, will Jordan throws a fit and retire again? There is a competition in all the positions in the Blackstars and nobody should have the idea that they should be included in the team at all times.
I am really against this nonsense of holding talks with the Ayews to return because this might end up causing more problems than if they have been left to enjoy their retirements.
If they want to come back, they should just say they are available for selection next time and hope they are selected, short of that, they should be allowed to retire without anybody holding talks with them. Abedi Pele is a great footballer but a bad father for using his children to settle scores with GFA.

POW, I agree with you. The right wing would be an option for Dede which he will have to compete with Solomon Asante. Though his attitude stinks, he can play that position well and combines well with Asamoah Gyan there too. However, for the left side of the field, he should forget about it, because like you fellows are saying, Wakaso, Atsu, and Kwedwo Asamoah are better players than Dede in the area. I wish he would not be called though because that alone will teach the upcoming players and the others players a lesson of thinking before acting.
All comes out to Jordan whom there is no doubt has nowhere to play in our squad at the moment. It is good and I will love for him to stay out for sometime for according to him, he needs that time to become a better player. Send him to the U-23 national team where he fits well.

The #2 & #3 position Kissi Boatewng & Afful well solid! Wakaso Awurade na baller. Kwadman na 'expedience' paa nie. Agyeman Badu full vim, what a powerful player bi dat. Na kaptain Mungu Yara dey feel too superior that, he dey think na Sudanda no fit play against him. Rabiu, another dependable player for the team. As for Warris, Jordan can not match his abilities at all. That boy is b3lle guud paa.
My only concern was Solomon Asante, too short but I will give him 50/50 though. Frimpong was tooooooo cautious and as taam goes on, he will be one of the figure heads in the team. The fans at the Kumasi were too tremendous for the boys that, they got no option than to win, but with more goals!

Like an ex-player mentioned, the Ayews don't perform with four legs but two like every player else. Therefore, there is nothing special about them, which if they are not included in the squad, the country's national team wouldn't make it.
One could have talent but his talent wouldn't cooperate with his indiscipline attitude. This is something I believe you haven't talked about in your comments. By the way, do we need such players in the squad? Players who wouldn't go by the rules of the coach?
"Exclusionist posturing" as you indicated, "will weaken the team." Are you certain about that? Don't mix-match situations. With this Ayews' case, the way they presented this side of the story, it will instead bring discipline. Moreover, it will and as well set an example to those players in the team and the ones coming. Therefore, excluding them indefinitely, will rather strengthen the team. It will plant discipline in the heart of the club! That is what we need.
Remember, no one separated them. They did so by sending in their retirement letters over silly issues. I strongly believe that if Akwesi Appiah was not the coach these whole nonsense would be over. The right thing to do is for them to stay out until Akwesi Appiah's term as a coach is over the way things stand now if they come and for some reason due to the coach's plan he does not use them he would be blame again.

Gyan, on 2 occassions was threatened by soccer fans for what they sighted as none performance in the senior national team, hurling lots of insults to his family as well. It became unbearable so he decided to quit just to end it all. That's totally diferent from the Ayews leaving B/Stars camp to do their own thing without permision. That's the begining, then it's started building up. Dede is taken out of a game we were losing and he comes to insult managers on bench. He was getting out of hand period. He made things worse with that fake injury. Then together with Jordan and their father, they ploted a coup to dethrone Appiah but it failed big time. This is why Appiah should be bold enough to leave them alone.

Should we expect another retirement from him, if that happens?
You see every line of employment has its upside and downside. How often do President Mahama or NPP opposition leader Nana Addo get insulted by people who are opposed to them? How often are Ghanaian teachers given derogatory nick names by the students they teach?
If you want the praise and the adoration that comes with your line of employment, you should also be man enough to live with the downside.
So far as I see it, the only person whose time out has some validity is Essien, because he actually became injured in the line of duty for Ghana. The only problem with Essien is that he has over-stayed his time off. Gyan, Kevin and the Ayews all do not have any justification that I know of.

The four legged Ayews's performance statement was just an idiomatic expression the ex-player used and I made a reference to that. All we were saying was, the Ayews don't have an extraordinary gift none of the players don't have or the ones coming wouldn't have. Therefore, there is no need of begging them to come back.
Now let us move on.
Question number one, are you saying we can't make it without the Ayews? That was my point in my comment before to tagged yours. The Ghana Black Stars can make it with or without the Ayews and I want you to admit that because these two brothers would not be there for the country for the rest of their lives. Even now they are young, they have retired prematurely. What makes you think they will be there for us for long.
Where were the two Ayew brothers when Ghana played draw against Sudan? Were these players not included? How good do they perform? Why couldn't we beat Sudan easily when the Ayews played with four legs each?
Why call them back? The retirement letters sent to GFA with explanations and conditions, whose words were those? Were they mine or yours?
Here are another questions for you, WOFA. Do you want the players who will later be invited to play for us adapt this same characters of the Ayews, which when they don't have their ways, they decide to stay away? Is that what you want from our future players? How would there be peace in camp when Dede is invited, on the other hand, Jordan is not? Do you think Dede will have a good heart to play for his country when his brother is not called because the brother is not good enough? Do you want the coach to be respected by any of the players? Have you been thinking about all these?
How would you know if Dede wouldn't repeat this insane demand or the character he portrayed when he was taken out of a game? Yes, I agree with you on the part that we need to go to the WC with our best. What I don't agree is the fact that we can't afford to go to he WC with the best players who at the same time possess the worse attitudes. Nothing good would come out of that. This is the reason of entering into a competition with players who understand discipline and are willing follow the lead of the coach no matter where the coach comes from.

People are understandably incensed by this issue of temporal retirement, primarily because it is becoming too frequent. The problem however is that most people are channeling their anger and frustration at the players in question, instead of directing blame toward the GFA and the Black Stars management team for failing to provide leadership. The GFA now seem completely clueless in finding a lasting solution to this problem.
In the past they went to beg Kevin Boateng to return, then Gyan was promised the captainship in order to secure his return. So now what do you do about the Ayews, sack them or not to sack them? How can the GFA justify sacking them in view of the above history.

Okay, i think it is time for the Ayew brothers to come back to the team. It was good that they decided to do what they did. It was good that they gave the GFA some attention so next time this doesn't happen again. I believe the GFA and our Coach have to respect all our players and also give them all the encouragement that they need. The Ayew brothers in turn have to respect all our coaches whether being local our foreign.
Lastly, I was glad that our ex-players like Capt Appiah got involved to help our team out, and hopefully they continue to do the same from now on.

Abedi has said Kwesi Appiah has DISSAPOINTED him but has failed to explain the 'dissapointment'. Yet we know the dissapointment is Mr. AA's failure to give the captain band to Dede. You took the captain from him that brought disaster to Ghana football and again you want him to give it to your son Dede. Just as you created confusion in your time your children are also creating confusion now so the best for Ghana is to allow them to retire. Ghana has men to replace them. I am looking forward to the day Warris will be paired with Accam upfront.
The coach did what was right in situation at hand but some people think the coach is paying back. That is far from the truth. Mr. AA has forgotten about the issue and has been visiting Abedi's house many times. He has been calling Abedi even when he travels outside and even brought Jordan to Black stars when many were of the view that Jordan was not a Black Stars meterial. Is this a payback by Mr. Kwesi Appiah?.
If Dede and Jordan want to come back they can do so only after the World cup. For now Black Stars need peace and Unity to progress. Before these arrogant kids can be accepted they should write a letter of apology to GFA, the coach, the playing body and to all Ghanaians - to be read by all Ghanaians be it through the internet or Daily papers. For now their acceptance will derail the train.
