This is sad. We Ghanaiana want to sit for a white man to tell us we have the best before we can accept this fact. Who can predict the beginning of a King?
Kwasi Appiah may not be a good coach at the moment, the man has the potential to succeed; and therefore, if we give him the chance, the production that would come out of this chance given to him, would soon be obvious to us all.
Yes, I may not be one of his favorite fans, I suctioned him to be one of the best after ten years and the man has already served over six years as an assistant coach during this period. A potential is seen in him with a great character to go with it. Here are few. How many coaches would stand in public and admit of his faults? Such coaches are hard to find. Not only he admitted to his mistakes but also had promised to right the wrong. What else and who else do we want?
Here are three characteristics that make a man to prosper or to advance and Mr. Appiah contains them all.
1. He Believes in himself and his players to succeed and that is why he asked for a second chance to be given to him to make things right.
Bringing in anyone who doesn't have the experience in coaching will pull us back to where Appiah started from. Those with the experience in coaching too are too expensive for us to afford.
2. His Attitude is right on money. Which coach has such a humble character like Kwasi Appiah. With the right attitude, it says "An advancement is right at the Corner."
Like some of you calling him trash now, you will be the ones to praise him when things are going on well with the team.
3. He has demonstrated a character of Discipline be ye toward his players or himself. Yes, people are turning and tossing, some are flipping up and down, and others are shaking heads side to side, for the fact that he disciplined the Ayew brothers.
Folks, it is part of his job and it is his responsibility to let each player know where he stands in his sayings. If he does discipline, who else do we expect to do so? Do you want Nyantekyi or the Ghana Government to do so? When it comes to that, what would your label be, a toy, or a puppet? We want a coach who can stand by his word and now he is doing and we having problem with it.
Whatever you want to hear about Kwasi Appiah, Milovan has made it clearer to us all. A teacher who took the student through the learning process has confirmed it.
Thank you Milo for your confirmation.

His style of play is outmoded and cannot take Ghana anywhere. What's wrong with these mafia at GFA. They need to be changed and straightened, period.
Also one single player is not bigger than the Blackstar. GFA should mould Blackstar in such a way, it will be a privilege to play not choice.
Anyone who think he is bigger than Ghana and can play for Ghana at will should be laughing at the wrong side of his mouth. Razak saids it and i second him 100% that players have lost their sense of patriotism.
Do i blame the players, heck not but the management committee who are destroying the National team for their selfish deed must be fired.
Then Ghanaians must be aware that it does not take fre fre ko bo to win tournaments but intensive preparation. If we do not have a strong local squad to play for blacksatrs, our hearts will continue to break at each and every tournament.
We should have by now learn from all our stupid mistakes. Sad thing is, our stupid mafia running the Blackstar is yet to identify a problem and put pen to resolve it. What a shame, when i met an Ethiopian who talked about the blackstars of the 70s and how beautiful they play. What happened to the spirit of the 70s!!!

Did Milo say that he came to the doomed Ghana -Burkina Faso game to support the team? He must be lying. Basically Appiah did not learn any detailed soccer tactics from this Serbian coach. Appiah was like a sorcerer's assistant or a driver's mate in the 1960s. The boss will not teach you anything, you must learn by personal agility. Appiah was not presented with manuals nor tutorials to hang on to. Milo cannot speak English and may be suspicious that Appiah was spying on him or pilfering some of his coaching secrets. That was the main reason why he came to watch that game. Just to see how much Appiah had stolen from him. He probably need Appiah to fail so that he can return to Ghana as a high-priced Messaih. As fate will have it, Appiah was no successful in that game and the next game. Watch it guys GFA may be secretly negotiating with this unemployed Serbian to come back to coach the famous Black Stars. Remember the Uruguayan game. The Black Stars played with a great deal of flair but posed no treat to the Uruguayan goalie until Muntari the rebel broke the rules and released a bullet shot that led to the only Black Star goal. Just after this event, and just like Appiah , Milo substituted Muntari who was a proven penalty taker. Ghanaians cannot forgive him and Baby Jet for destroying our dreams and breaking our hearts.

akwasi Appiah is not a failure, he is doing a good job.
how many local coaches had coach the team for over this 30yrs chase of the africa cup? and how many of them are foreign coaches?
where do we reached in the AFCON with milo, stevanovic, and other foreign coaches in afcon? none of them were able to secure a second position for us, so where is the logic to underate kwasi Appiah for the 4th position of the just ended afcon?.
kwasi though did some mistakes i admit, he was not the worse coach of the tournament to disgrace ghana, we should all suport GFA to embark him with some tatical refreshing courses to correct his mistakes in the coming tournament.
The yardstick we can use to measure kwasi is , if he could not qualify us to the world, and if not able to qualify to the last 8 and beyond, that is where we might have serious problem with him to diagnose, by comparing our last apeareance to the world cup and where we reached to the latest apeareance and our dropout.

Appiah has a lot of problems to solve; a lot of obstacles to overcome and a lot of egos to feed and a lot of victories to wrestle from soccer tournaments before we will call him the best coach. There is no true success without humiliating failure. Now that he has tasted defeat in AFCON 2012 and felt the wrath of Ghanaian soccer fans he knows what to do to attain true greatness and bring success to the famous Black stars. If Appiah can accomplish these tasks then his name will resonate like that of CK Gyamfi. The coach is the coach. No player should be above the coach. But he must use restrain when dealing with the egos of players. When a player is totally disloyal, he must
be left out of the team.
In particular Appiah needs to be sent to Brazil, then to England or Germany and never to racist Spain nor Italy
to learn some of the new soccer formations and how to play against all kinds of aggravating stupid soccer styles. Its like Shaolin Kung Fu. Appiah must aspire to be the best from inside his heart and soul. Then victory will be his from now and forever. Then Ghanaians from deep inside their hearts will declare him the greatest.

Agyeman was right when he pointed out how happy GFA enjoys wasting tax payer's money.
You have coaches like Sellas Tetteh with proven track record (though too photogenic) and you gave Black Stars to Appiah. Disgrace was his result as he lacked game-reading skills at AFCON 2013 after similar failure in Zambia during the World Cup qualifiers.
We had players ready to win but our coach didn't know how.
Appiah should go and understudy Stephen Keishi for some time or we employ Keishi to help the Black Stars.
I wonder if Nigeria would release him.
SASABONSAM 11 years ago
If Keishi was a white man, yes! but being a black man he is not qualified to lead Ghana, the reasons are 1/ The players will not respect him because he is African.

Our present coach Mr. Kwesi Appiah
(my apologies) cannot foster the same air of professionalism and neutrality that prevailed during the reign of our last good coach Mr. M. Rajevic whom he assisted.
Under Mr. Appiah, the game of soccer has become the business of soccer and it has left the field of play replaced by the preferences and tastes of our so called professional players. The coach is not holding court within the appropriate circles to allow him maintain the intensity of the players when they come together for camp. It is clear that the focus is not the same as before, it has shifted from the team as a whole to the individual players and there is division amongst the players and friction with the coach.
In Mr. Appiah, we do not have a dynamic coach who is independent enough to be held to account solely on the basis of performance. With the World-Cup only a year and half away and President Mahama stressing the importance of the Blackstars participating in it and learning to take their penalty kicks before the start of any competition.
The GFA is pleased to accept an apology from the national coach....................., and we(the president included) are supposed to wait for the coach to go to some famed European club and get some much needed skills and trainning while the world-cup is impending.
"Employ a good coach and all the players will line-up"
........and balance will be restored.
Our money is being wasted on Mr. Appiah..... if he still needs more trainning to do this job.
The better management decision is to rehire Mr. M Rajevic, the better Serbian and restore our pride. The caliber of our players has not changed only the quality of our preparation and organization has changed.
All of us expected to at least play in the finals of the nations cup………….We didn’t
How can the GFA expect more from Mr. Appiah when they are paying him only half the salary they paid Mr. Milo Rajevic.
GFA must put an end to this cheepness at the service patrotism.... who cares about the nationality of your coach if all the players are Ghanaian.
We are not going anywhere with the present short mindedness of our coach and the GFA

Sir, why give up hope on the famous Black Stars. They will rise again from the aftermath of defeat and coaching uncertainty. This has happened before and the Black Stars prevailed again and again.
After the AFCON 1963 in which the Black Stars without Baba Yara won the cup on the merit of Edward Acquah's two hell-fire, blazing thunderbolt shots against goalkeeper Sabit Dodoo of Sudan, some Ghanaians were worried that the whiteman coach was leaving. Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the Initiator of the African Personality, Showboy, instructed sports director Ohene Djan to bring back CK Gyamfi from Germany to coach the famous Black Stars. First Gyamfi took the Black Stars to the 1964 Olympic games in Tokyo. In first game the famous Black Stars beat Japan 3-2. The next game was against a great team from Argentina with a defenceman called Duru and dare-devil forward called Bulla. This was a tough match for Gyamfi . He signaled his former team-mate Acquah to do something. Acquah responded by choosing a sample of his hell-fire thunder-bolt missile shots and released it towards the Argentine goalie who wisely did not attempt to save the ball. The game ended 1-1. In the game there was controversy as we played Egypt. It was really cold that day. During half-time the Black stars had their refreshments and after that they were drowsy and dis-oriented and lost the game 5-1. They came home humiliated. People called for Gyamfi to be sent to Nsawam Prisons. The epitaph was written signaling the death of Ghana soccer and the superiority of a white coach. Nkrumah did not fire Gyamfi but he and Ohene Djan re-vamped the team and retained only a few of the super stars and ndismissed players who were angry with CK.
The AFCON 1965 was just around the corner. Gyamfi's newly minted Black Stars went to Tunisia and won the finals match with a 3-2 extra-time victory over hosts Tunisia based on two goals from Frank "VC10" Odoi and one 'dribble the ball into the net' goal by wizard dribbler Osei Kofi. The reign of CK as the best Ghanaian coach had began.
Thus the Appiah saga will be resolved and the famous Black Stars will be back to their winning ways again.
