This is the heights of stupidity. The players should learn to concentrate on the game. If people can work in the office and other work places with women around how can't professional footballers play their game in the midst of women. This kind of protest should not be allowed to see day light anywhere in the year 2013. South African women should fight back.

2. keep clean sheets in every single game.
3. attackers win you a match, defenders win you a tournament.
4. Make sure youR TEAM N PLAYERS are disciplined
5. Treat your players with respect. motivated all the players like their big brother.

8. TRUST EACH OTHER
WE NEED TO ADOPT THE MENTALITY OF SCORING AND NOT BE SCORED ON. NO GOALS AGAINST PLS.....
AA, PREPARE FOR THE WORST POSSIBLE SITUATION AT THIS AFCON
LETS USE THE FIRST 3 GAMES TO TIGHTEN OUR DEFENCE. NO GOALS AGAINST. ALL WE NEED ARE THE FULL 3 POINTS.

If our boys like women so much that they would be distracted looking at the girls, then its their weakness and not "bad luck". They require discipline, not making statements that make Ghanaians sound primitive.

I couldn't believe it when I read that Ghana is among those trying to discriminate against women at the stadium. This may not be true. If its true then I say a big SHAME to them. Please let us respect our WOMEN

This is a stupid article and is probably not true.
In my observation, a lot of
articles that appear on Ghana web have dubious sources, don't properly cite sources, are very poorly written, and very few of them present reasoned, coherent and a balanced perspective.
Readers can't simply assume that because something is written that it actaully happened or that it is true.
I read it because I am soccer addict and just want to catch up on the latest "gossip" in Ghana soccer.

Nothing much has changed in every sphere of ghanaian life since we became the first country south of the sahara to become independent in 1957. It's no surprise that we still have a 19th century frame of mind 13 years into the 21st century. Discrimination against women is not the only form of discrimination in Ghana. Most of our cultural and traditional beliefs are outdated and it's time we amended a lot of them. They were made to suit the times. If we're hoping to walk abreast with the rest of the developed world then I'm afraid we must change our thought process in many ways. We're so many years behind development and progress and our latest protest against the presence of females in South African AFCON stadiums is a big disgrace to Ghana. Nearly 2 centuries after Dr Kwegyir Aggrey wrote "When you educate a man you educate an individual ; and when you educate a woman you educate a whole nation" we are still practising primitive discrimination against women. No wonder our development has stalled. Male chauvinism has failed us. So has other forms of discrimination failed us. Very disappointing indeed.
