Is that why Nii Laryea was shambolic or aiding the better side to win at all cost? The best defender in the game, was wrongly and criminally Yellow Carded for no reason whatsoever. A Moroccan striker pulls Bassey's Jersey and feigns Bassey touch his face, whereas Bassey only touched his chest and instead of giving the SE a free kick, he awards Morroco an undeserved free kick near Nigeria's box and adds more salt to the injury by Carding the innocent Bassey- which means he cannot play in the 3rd place match against Egypt.

Layrea was a disaster throughout, playing to Morocco's FA order. He should never be allowed to referee international matches, let alone crucial ones like Afcon semi-finals.
