Stop posing as spokespersons - Kotoko IMC

The Interim Management Committee (IMC) of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club has cautioned people who move from one radio station to the other speaking as though they were official spokespersons of the club to stop sto such activities forthwith.

A statement signed by Mr Sylvester Asare Owusu, chairman of the IMC in Kumasi, said much as the IMC appreciated the excellent public relations work that many Kotoko supporters were doing for the club on radio and in the newspapers, they would not encourage any fan to pose as the club's spokesperson.

It said most media houses and supporters knew that the IMC had engaged Mr Kwabena Sarpong Akosah, a freelance journalist based in Kumasi to handle the club's press and public affairs.

The statement therefore urged all media organisations desirous to know the policies and programmes of the IMC to contact Mr Akosah or any of the IMC members.

Meanwhile, Mr Kwabena Sarpong Akosah, the Press and Public Affairs Officer of the Kotoko IMC, has announced that the Asante Kotoko Express, the official mouthpiece of the club will be out today, Tuesday, February 25.

He said the paper will now be known as 'Kumasi Asante Kotoko Express' and therefore asked the teeming supporters of the club to take note and patronise the paper when it comes out.
