IK Start midfielder Isaac Twum has expressed worry about lack of football activities in the world following the outbreak of Coronavirus.

The disease, also known as Convid-19, has so far claimed over 54,180 lives after over 1,029,454 infections globally, while Ghana have 204 confirmed cases with 5 deaths.

The virus has led to the suspension of all major football leagues in the world including the Ghana Premier League and this has called for clubs to take drastic decisions.

It is uncertain whether or not the 2019/2020 league season will continue due to the increase in number of cases recorded.

The Norwegian outfit has decided to slash players salary by 75% due to lack of football activities and the Ghanaian international has lamented on the effect it brings.

“This salary cut will put a lot of pressure on me because I have people to take care of back home. I have friends and other important people who are my responsibility”.

“It is not easy at all but it has to happen that way because we’ve been off following the outbreak of the disease. In fact, the disease has caused a lot of havoc in the world, so we pray we get rid of it so we can continue with our activities” he told Bryt FM in an interview.
