Pay me $20,000 or Stars will fail â?? Prophet

A man claiming to be a prophet has predicted doom for the Black Stars ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, stressing that he is the only man of God capable of reversing the situation.
He, therefore, demanded $20,000 from the Ghana Football Association boss Kwesi Nyantakyi, saying either the money is paid or the Black Stars will fail to advance to the second round of the Mundial.
When the GFA boss rejected the threats, Prophet Mensah Otabil further threatened to unseat him as the leader of the Ghana FA.
Mensah Otabil, who claims to own a church in Pokuase, a district of Accra, sent the threatening text message to the GFA boss over the weekend claiming he would use the money to overturn the bad results that await the Black Stars in Group G of the tournament.
Ghana faces a tough assignment at the World Cup where they face Germany, Portugal and USA which has prompted fear and created an opportunity for con-artists to exploit.
Mensah Otabil, obviously not the famous ICGC pastor, wrote this message: “Hello Mr. President, I hope you are doing well. I need $20,000 dollars to facilitate the matches at the World Cup.
“The results I see are not favorable. It’s a draw and two losses and we need to turn things around so we can qualify for the next stage. Hoping to hear from you soon.”
When the GFA chief rebuffed the initial attempts, he came up with threats, daring the Ghana FA chief.
“If you want to see a miracle in this World Cup bet me, I am telling you I will prove to you I am the nation’s prophet, you have dared me. Just watch out.”
Mensah Otabil has refused to answer his calls.
He claims that he prays for several Ghana players but the players mentioned have vehemently rejected the report.
The pastor is said to have used threats in the past on people in football.
