P.D. Quartey Seniors golf on Sunday

The Annual P.D. Quartey Memorial Seniors Golf Championship tees off at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Sunday, April 27.

Mr Samuel Adetola, captain and spokesman for the Achimota Golf Club who announced this in Accra on Monday, said the one-day 18-hole stableford competition, which opens to senior golfers aged 55 years and above, is being sponsored by Dr Sydney Quartey, President of the Achimota Golf Club and younger brother of the late Mr Quartey.

About 100 golfers from Achimota, Tema, Celebrity and Bok Nam Kim golf clubs, are expected to vie for the magnificent trophy, donated by Dr Quartey and his family.

Among the golfers who will be battling each other for the trophy from Achimota are Nana Wereko Ampem, Mike Ezan, Professor Michael Ben-George, J.F. Sam, Sammy Adetola and Kofi Acquaah-Harrison.
