Kwesi Appiah ponders Black Stars return

Former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah is keeping his cards close to his chest over a possible return to the hot seat as coach of the Black Stars.

Appiah has done a decent job as head coach of Sudanese side Al Khartoum after leading them to a 3rd place finish in the Sudanese league.

The former Asante Kotoko man made history by becoming the first ever Ghanaian coach to qualify the Black Stars to a world cup in Brazil last year.

But a disastrous campaign in Brazil with violent disagreement on bonuses the key among challenges combined with a not so convincing start to AFCON 2015 qualifiers meant he was relieved off his post.

Appiah has however revived his career in Sudan and was even offered a chance to lead the Sudanese national team which he turned down.

He is remaining silent on a possible return to the national team in the future.
“Sudan has been good and that is all I can say for now. I will look and see how the work has gone and leave the future to God,” Appiah told GHANAsoccernet.com
