Kwesi Appiah happy with scoring abilities of his team

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is elated with his team’s goal scoring strength ahead of the 2014 WC qualifying play-off with Egypt on Tuesday.

Eleven different players can be counted for the total of eighteen goals scored by the Black Stars in the qualifiers.

Nine out of those eleven players are currently part of the 24-man squad preparing for Tuesday’s clash.

"It's very pleasing to have every player contributing a goal or more. It shows that the Black Stars can get goals from any player, from defence, midfield or attack," Appiah told the official website of the Ghana FA.

"The group has ability in terms of goal-scoring wise. And that is good for us because we are not reliant on any particular player.

"I am delighted and hope we find many goals in our next match while ensuring our discipline at the back. We have let in three goals though we could have done better.

"But we must keep our balance and improve. We meet a good side but must cause them problems to get what we plan for," he added.

Ghana are targeting a third straight appearance at the World Cup while Egypt are bent on ending their 23-year wait for a World Cup appearance.
