Konadu unimpressed with CHAN team

Ghana’s Local Black Stars coach Maxwell Konadu is not happy with his team’s performance, especially against Namibia in a friendly on Saturday.

The team is heading to South Africa for the 2014 CHAN competition and despite a 0-1 win over the Brave Warriors in Windhoek, the former Asante Kotoko coach feels his charges have a lot to do ahead of the tournament.

“Even though we won the game, I was not impressed with the way we presented ourselves,” Konadu said in a post-match interview.

“Generally speaking the Brave Warriors played better than us. They had all the possession and controlled the game.”

He added: “At this level if we can’t keep the ball then we are not going anywhere. We have to work harder before we can think of winning any game in South Africa.”

The Championship of African Nations, which is reserved for players plying their trade on the continent, kicks off next Saturday.
