Kim Grant's link to Brighton Dismissed

Micky Adams has responded to reports that he is interested in signing Belgium-based Kim Grant by revealing he doesn't look abroad for players.

The Brighton boss has been linked with former Charlton striker Grant this week, but has confirmed that he will be trawling the English leagues and not the continent in his search for new players.

Grant has an awful goalscoring record for a striker and, at the age of 28, lacks the pace that made him a threat in his days at the Valley.

Luton manager Joe Kinnear and Northampton boss Kevin Wilson are believed to be interested in signing Grant, who signed for Belgian outfit Lommell after leaving Millwall in August 1999.

However, it looks as though Adams has ruled himself out of the chase for Ghanaian-born Grant, who scored only 35 goals during eight years in England.

Adams said: "I don't care whether players come from the Premiership or the Third Division.

"If I feel they are good enough they can come from any area. But I don't really look abroad. I don't know enough about the players over there."
