The Saudi Arabia Football Association has officially given former Enyimba FC of Aba forward, and Ghana's international, Joetex Frimpong, the clearance to debut for his new club, Al-Nassr FC of Riyadh.
Frimpong, who arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, last week, was a guest of the Federation on Wednesday morning where he received his license at the secretariat, in Riyadh, and debuted against a local side Al-Tae, on Thursday night.
Frimpong told Kick Off from his new base in the Middle East, "I am already looking forward to the match tomorrow and by the grace of God, I will make them happy here, in Al-Nassr."
The Ghanaian international had earlier passed his medical at the Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Abdullaziz Sports Medicine Hospital, in Riyadh, last Sunday.
Supporters of the club have been quite excited with his impressive performance during training and they are optimistic that the former Enyimba player would lift the status of the club with his goals.
The striker is the third Ghanaian to play for Al-Nassr after Kennedy Ohene and Daniel Coleman. He is making history as the first player from the Nigerian League to play for the club, which has a rich history in the country and beyond.
Al-Nassr entered the history books as the first club from Saudi Arabia to play in the FIFA World Club Championship, hosted by Brazil, in 2000.
