Brescia 1 Parma 1: An intriguing encounter at the Stadio Rigamonti saw Brescia and Parma draw 1-1 with both goals being scored within the first-half.
The visitors began the stronger team and so nearly achieved the breakthrough early on when Bresciano – who was deputizing for the suspended Mutu – cracked a shot against the inside of the post.
Parma deservedly went ahead on 33 minutes through Daniel Bonera, who scored his first-ever Serie A goal against his former club of all teams. The youngster got on the end of a gift of a knockdown header by Stephen Appiah after Bresecia's defense had gone completely AWOL.
Parma were themselves caught napping five minutes later when Roberto Baggio was allowed to break towards the far-post unchaperoned in order to slide home the equalizer courtesy of a precise Petruzzi cross.
