Faisal holds Kessben in Premier League match

Abrankese, (Ash), Jan. 11, GNA - Lack of precision in front of goal denied Kumasi King Faisal the maximum three points when they were forced to a goalless drawn game against Kessben F/C in their Sixth Week encounter of the Glo Premier League match played at the Anane Boateng Stadium near Kumasi on Sunday.

Faisal looked well composed in midfield and defence in the initial stages of the game as they operated effectively on the right flanks where Enoch Andoh continuously came up with some threatening crosses but in the 12th, 26th and 45th minutes Bashiru Osman, Abedi Sarfo and Samad Oppong failed to utilize the glorious chances that came their way respectively to end the half.

When the second half resumed the two teams lifted their game but it was substitute Awudu Abubakr of Faisal who nearly punished the home team in the 65th minute for poor man-marking when he sneaked into the goal area of Kessben to head home an in-swinger from Ebo Andoh but the ball missed the target narrowly.

Eric Poku of Faisal was shown the red-carded in the 75th minute for a second bookablle offence by referee Sumaila Ibrahim but Kessben failed to take advantage as they allowed Faisal to dictate the pace of the game with some accurate inter positional passes which confused the home team to end the match barren.
