Liberty Professionals draws against Eleven Wise

Essipong, (W/R) Jan. 11, GNA - Sekondi Eleven Wise were forced into a 2-2 drawn game against visiting Liberty Professionals in their Glo Premier League match played at the Essipong Sports Stadium near Sekondi. Winfred Domond shot Wise ahead in the seventh minute just when the two sides were settling into the game. The home team played gamely to maintain its lead despite consistent pressure from their opponents.

Eric Owusu added another goal for Wise in the 40th minute following a persistent attack mounted on their opponents. Liberty's resilience paid for them when in the 70th minute Mawuli Togolo dramatically scored a goal for the visitors and this sent signals to Wise to increase their attacks to consolidate their lead. While Wise were fighting to carry the day, Yaw Antwi of Liberty dashed their hopes of carrying the day when he a goal in the 86th minute to send the teeming supporters into dead silence.

Try as they did there was little that Wise could do from that stage as the team unsuccessfully fought hook and nail in search of the winning goal but Liberty tightened their defense and ensured that they kept Wise at bay until the final whistle.
