Bechem Chelsea signs coach Polack

Accra, Dec. 30, GNA - Premier League side, Bechem Chelsea have secured the service of coach Steven George Pollack for a two and half years contract. The deal which was brokered by Sibosro Sports Consult will see the coach assuming duty with immediate effect, as they battle Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Sunday in their 13th Week Glo Premier League encounter. Coach Pollack in a speech at a press conference in Accra on Wednesday, said he is coming on board with a lot of experience having handled Kumasi King Faisal FC in the last premiership.

He said he has a fair idea of the local league and this will provide him with the necessary

information to deliver on his contract. Outlining his projections for the 13th Week session, coach Pollack said his immediate aim

is to infuse a high sense of tactical discipline into the playing body in order to complete the

first round on a sound footing. He added that he will use the month long break in the league after the first round to build a

winsome team for the second round, which will commence after the 2010 Orange African

Cup of Nations in Angola. The coach said picking a top four position at the end of the season is one of his major

targets, adding that he is also aiming for the premiership, which he said forms part of his long

term plans for the success of the Club. "I'm not in Ghana for money, but to win laurels too and winning the league should be my

topmost priority.

"I'm not a magician, but I will do my job to the best of my abilities to ensure success at

the end of the two and half year's of my contract", he stated. Oduro Sarfo, Chief Executive Officer of Sibosro Sport Consult, told GNA Sports that the

coach will be provided with the necessary working conditions to deliver. He stated that coach Pollack will be provided with a two bedroom residence and an

official vehicle to facilitate his work.

Sarfo was confident that the coach will transform Bechem Chelsea into a formidable side

capable of realizing their dreams in the league.

"With the coach's rich track record at King Faisal, there is no doubt that he will deliver".

Sarfo said.

Coach Pollack is credited with a massive transformation of King Faisal last season, as he led the Club to be among the final four at the end of the season. Chelsea is currently placed at the 12th position on the league table with 15 points and will battle Kotoko at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Sunday in the 13th Week league game of the premiership.
