Kumasi, Dec. 30, GNA - The head coach of Kessben FC, Bashiru Hayford has attributed the team's impressive performance in the GLO Premier League to hard work, discipline and the desire by the players to achieve glory.
Coach Hayford said the playing body had adjusted well to the tactics and strategy mapped up by the technical handlers and expressed the hope that they would keep up the winning mentality to maintain the top spot of the league.
Kessben, after 12 weeks of matches, are on top of the league table with 23 points with many sports analysts skeptical about their chances of winning the league. Many of the sports analysts hold the believe that the league would eventually be won by either Kumasi Asante Kotoko or Accra Hearts of Oak, the two most glamorous
Ghanaian Clubs and perennial winners given their past record and high pedigree in the league. Coach Hayford however told GNA Sports in Kumasi that Kessben was determined
to defy the odds and was upbeat that they are going to prove the critics wrong. "We have been able to put together a young and committed team together which is
able to hold its own against any side and therefore, the team is not afraid of any opposition." Coach Hayford appealed to the supporters to rally solidly behind the team in their
bid to make history as the 'new boys on the block'. 30 Dec. 09
