Does the Police have the power to ban DV/DP Plates anywhere in the country?
In a parliamentary democracy, the police are to enforce laws but not to make laws. Moreover, we are not practicing a Federal System of government so Ashanti Region cannot ban something like that. What of if Police in other regions start banning things left and right?

The weak n vulnerable will continue to suffer. I was in court in 2015 when a gentleman who had been brought in by the police to Answer questions on using dv plates on Saturday stood up to them telling the judge that he had broken no law and that the police should tell the court which law prohibits the usage of dv plates on Saturday mornings. Tried as the police did they could not because the law is specific on the prohibitions and they are clear. They cannot be used beyond 7pm and all that. Must not be used for funerals n parties. And a host of others.

Eeeebei, Mr police commander, you are overstepping your boundaries. Are you saying people who have legitimately purchase a dv number plate can not use in Kumasi? Have you actually pass out from police training ? Please don't bring this in connivances to some law abiding citizen. Is this police man saying if clear your car at the port it should be registered at Tema port? Or he wants the car owner to tow or carry it. Your law can't be find in our status
