Why are we still talking about legal and illegal mining after seeing the huge destruction to the environment, water bodies and farming lands? What do we need again to ban or stop galamsey in Ghana? I think the talking is just too much. We need action now to nib this canker in the bud.The so-called ''experts'' should stop talking because talking alone would never solve this problem.Majority of Ghanaians cannot sit down and allow some small number of people to destroy our environment because they are looking for their daily bread. No way. Galamsey and legal small-scale mining must stop now!

Armed robbers have reasons and excuses too so should we engage them and offer them sweetheart packages to convince them to stop braeking the law?The bottom line is that Galamsey operators are breaking several laws which makes them common criminals. Now the previous government's inability to erradicate it encouraged it's growth and sophistication which has made it very difficult and costly to deal with.If this government fails to completely erradicate this manace form our country it may be here for good and the next logical step will be siphoning oil from pipe lines like they do in Nigeria. We shouldn't entertain remarks from idiotic fools like this so called expert.
