This shows that no risk assessment plan was in place and IGP assumed the Delta force guys will be dormant if they attend the case.Judge may not have requested however the it was the responsibility of the IGP to sense the danger as the IGP and discuss this prior to the court case about security and for the senior at Kumasi to mention what he intends to do to him. The incident demonstrates that this preparations were not done. There was no risk assessment and surely there should a protocol for any court case re security assessment document on file re accountability and judgement payment etc. Is this not what is being done in Ghana ?

They are setting a bad precedent if the regional commander is not first of all interdicted to pave way for investigation. His inefficiency nearly caused the death of this innocent lady judge. How on earth should you tell the case officer to make a call to you for the stand by force to be deployed to the court knowing well that network can fail when you can equally give security phone to the officer to place the call to you if his phone network failed him.

Eiii the IGP and the Regiobal Police Commander should God they are still at post. In order regimes they would been sacked for negligence of duty. No any other goverment would tolerated this duty failure. Signals were flying over about the illegal intentions of these thugs days before they struck. At least the rantings of Kennedy Agyapong should have prompted the Police to prepare well in advance before the court day. It was like the Police forgot their basic responsibilities. That was a shameful inactions of the Police and the first of this kind of crime against Ghana even before independence. It has never happened during the colonial days either. Image of the Ghana Police Service has seriously been dented. The Judge was damnned lucky. The thugs would have given the beatings of her if those Policemen were not around. In fact Kumasi may be declared the most dangerous city any judge may visitT in the whole wide world.
Be proactive as a security agency, you should be prepared at all times as soon as you see the light. When you come to security, there is nothing like "underestimate" ok
