There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults.This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States, Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

I will forever say, they are all thieves. People are not allowing the president to perform his duties, some want to disgrace him while others want to enrich themselves through such appointments. The NPP was born amidst confusion in the UGCC. They proceeded to bribe Kotoka & Afrifa to overthrow the CPP government. The uncertainty still continued as Afrifa was afraid of Kotoka as a stumbling block to their plan of handing the seat to Busia. This controversy has continued till now but it only has taken a different form. In the party itself, there are rivalries from various corners. They all thieves, no one is honest. Nana must be more firm as the citizenry trust him and are looking closely to what he will be doing. His closest friends are mostly opportunists.

In his statement " Paragraph 273 of the 2017 budget says principally that the government has allocated GH¢2.04 million for the procurement of five million improved coffee planting seedlings for free distribution to coffee farmers while in the 2016 budget, paragraph 405 also talked about government allocating GH¢2.0 million for the procurement of two million improved coffee planting seedlings for free distribution to coffee farmers."
Now divide NPP's GHC2.04 Million by 5 million seedlings and the answer is GHC 0.40 per coffee seedling. Then divide NDC's GHC 2,0 Million by 2 Million seedlings and the answer is GHC 1.00 per coffee seedling. Now the question is, Who is stealing from who. I don't really know the university that trained these NDC guys. Universities in Ghana are indeed useless.

I am calling o all parents whose wards are in SHS 3 to rise up an demostrate against goverment and ghana education service. The reason is that the second ter has not ended yet meanwhile form three students have been asked to come home and collect next term fees. The SHS will be vacating on 12 April 2017 and reopen in may 10 2017 by them most of the SHS 3 final student will have completed. So i dont think parents are to pay for a term that our children have completed school. One painful aspect is that the amounts that they are paying is more than all the terminal fees they have ever paid that is six hundred and two ghana cedis.

The Minister of Information, Mr Mustapha Hamid has dismissed claims that there was confusion regarding the appointment of managers for the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) by the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Media reports had suggested that Brigadier General Kwame Oppong-Kyekyeku (retd) and Eric Nana Agyeman-Prempeh, a former District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano North in Ashanti have been appointed for the same positions at NADMO and as a result, there was confusion since there seemed to be no clarity with regards to their respective positions and roles.
But explaining, the Information Minister said, there ought not be any confusion with the two appointments since their appointment letters clearly states their various positions.
Brig. Gen Oppong-Kyekyeku, he said has been appointed as Chairman of the Governing Council of NADMO whilst Eric Nana Agyeman-Prempeh has been appointed as Director General, responsible for the day to day administration of NADMO.
“There should therefore be no confusion at NADMO,” the Information Minister stated in a radio interview on Asempa FM Monday afternoon when he was called to provide clarity on the matter.
“I’m surprised you are saying there is confusion,” he told the host the 'Ekosii Sen' afternoon talk show host, Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong (KABA) .
For the Director General, he is responsible for the day to day running of the organisation and for accountability purposes, the organisation needs to have a governing board which Brig. Gen. Oppong-Kyekyeku has been appointed as chairman for him to exercise oversight responsibility over the Director General, Mr Hamid said.
“Their appointment letters state clearly what each of them is going to do,” he said.
A handing over ceremony which had been planned last week for Brig. Gen. Francis Vib Sanziri who was appointed by Former President Mahama in 2015 to handover to Brigadier General Kwame Oppong-Kyekyeku was called off.
The Presidency was reported to have intervened for the handing over to be called off since as Chairman of the Governing Council, Brig. Gen. Oppong-Kyekyeku was not responsible for the day to day administration and therefore should not receive the handing over notes.
Explaining, the Information Minister said the handing over did not happen because Brig, Gen. Oppong-Kyekyeku was not going to be in charge of the day to day running of the place.
The president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is clear in his mind that Brig. Gen. Oppong-Kyekyeku should supervise Agyemang-Prempeh.
Eric Nana Agyeman-Prempeh’s appointment letter was signed personally by President Akufo-Addo and dated March 9, 2017.
The appointment letter stated the appointment was in pursuant to Section 17(1) of the NADMO Act, 2016, Act 926. “I take this opportunity to congratulate you formally on your appointment,” the letter said.
Meanwhile Mr Abu Ramadan has also been appointed as the Deputy Director General of NADMO.
