If an Akan occupied a very vital position, the PNDC quickly replaced him with an Ewe. If an Akan had huge amounts of money in the banks, the PNDC government seized it; and if an Akan had a very nice property like a house or car, the PNDC seized it. They just wanted to make EWES the LORDS of Ghana. That is the reason why, even as of now, most government institutions are managed by Ewes. But we are catching up, and will overtake them soon.
