It was an accident. I think Ghanaweb used the word 'killed' because the prisoners shouldn't have been in that truck for the first place. Therefore who ever put them there could be the 'killer'

The family of these prisoners should sue the prison service. Although they are prisoners but they have right. Ghana is a member of Hague convention on human right and this shouldn't happen.

In Ghana, it is the norm to see trucks overladen with dodzens of humans, whether for attending funerals; labouresrs going to and from site duties etc. These uninformed and clearly ignorant willing passengers do not even know that it is a human degradation to stuff them onto vehicles like sardines. In much the same way as cattle would be ferried to the slaughter house, humans willingly agree to be treated as beas**ts and happily embark on the trucks for the ignorance and the fun of it.
Wow! what a joke and what a primitive state of affairs in Ghana under the watchful eyes of the Police men and women on the roads who do not know the difference,anyway?.
