I hope the government and DCP Awuni are not using their current intervention to buy time and hope that people will forget.
This problem has been going on for years and people have totally lost their patience and confidence in the government's ability to deal with issue.
Instead of asking the chiefs and people not to take the law into their own hands, they should go ahead and address the problem with the urgency it deserves.
While at it, DCP Awuni and the government should note that nothing short of eviction is the desired outcome here. The nomadic cattle herding way of life is totally in conflict with farming so these throwback from yesteryears must be sent packing. Otherwise the people will address this problem their own way.
