I used this road about 4 times in April and couldn't believe my eyes. I had to reinvent my 35 years driving skills at those very moments. No traffic rules operate at that stretch of road.

The Dept. of Urban Roads is pretty to be blamed. No SPEED LIMITS are indicated though that road is for all intends and purposes is a built-up area where the simple speed limit MUSTBE 50KM/HR. This is a global traffic rule. Undisputed!
These signs MUST vividly be displayed. The traffic lights at Nii Bortey and Anyaa Market are at best a nuisance than directional and operative. They are placed at points where human traffic is unfounded. Unbelievable! Government of Ghana propaganda boards at these absurd traffic lights posts assuring residents of safety and social improvement.
The MTTU need to be there to educate.
Sadly, I saw a Policeman hiding at an obscured corner waiting for defaulting motorists to be arrested instead of directing. Do the Ghana Police understand policing rather than arresting and lining their filthy pockets?
From NIC don't be bewildered if you see a motorist driving on the left hand side instead of right - a clear recipe for accidents and its attendant calamities.

Look, that stretch of highway is so poorly designed that its unfriendly to both drivers and pedestrians. The traffic lights work erratically to the point that it's impossible to obey them.
