We cannot even cater for able-bodied students in our schools, let alone students with special needs. We already have special schools for students with special needs which are equipped with the special facilities and teachers trained for the purpose. Why not enhance this provision and ensure that the deaf, blind, dumb and those with other special needs are catered for properly in these schools? This mixed, so-called inclusive provision is bound to reduce the quality of provision for able-bodied students and disabled students alike. GES and MoE must think again.
