Anane went free. Woyome went free. Jake Obetsebi Lamptey had the right to buy his state residence. Tsikata went free. There are ex-convicts in high government positions. There are bribe takers (in the UK corruption trial of M & J) in high government positions.
Nothing will happen to any judge. Woode is part of the rot. Mahama is part of the rot. Kufuor was part of the rot. (He appointed a lot of the high court judges). That's Ghana for you!

This is a truthful call from God, not Kwaku Asare. Chief Justice Wood must resign in shame, together with the Judicial Service Council and the Judicial Secretary. The reason is that, the office of the Chief Justic.,and the Judicial Service Council was espected to build a firewall around the country's judges, and other judiciary related official, given that they apply the established judicial service policies, by reviewing all judgements passed by all judges, from the ordinary Magisterial Courts of law to the Supreme Court of Ghana, to prevent corruption. Evidently, this job was never done by the Chief Justice and the Judicial Service Council. This is the main reason why these "Criminal Judges" have been allowed to bring shame to the country's administration of justice. Ghana has lost big time, and we cannot even put the value of Kuffuor Cedis on it. The Chief Justice must go, and I am demanding her resignation letter together with my friend Kwaku Asare, by the end of this month. These corrupt acts of our judges is not only shameful, but sinful.

Why should the CJ resign; was her name in the list of bribe-taking judges? These days you can't really know who'll be making bogus demands or suggestions. I'd expect this kind of opinion to come from an ordinary person in the public but not someone who ought to know better. Some folks are just agitated simply because the CJ's position happens to be held by a woman. Some men just don't feel comfortable or what? These things aren't necessary. Why don't you ask John Mahama to resign since it's obvious that some bribe-taking went on during the SC election petition esp after Justice Atuguba read that bogus verdict, which sent shivers and sorrow into the spines and hearts of many, many Ghanaians? And just after that bogus verdict on that fateful day of August 29, he quickly flew to the U.S. immediately followed by John Mahama himself. People are asking: "what did the two men do over there in the U.S. just after the verdict? It's time for everyone, esp out leaders to being to think deep before making some comments. Please leave the lady CJ alone! She's doing her very best for Ghana, after all she's not the one who pushed the corrupt lawyers to take those bribes. We thank Anans for his great job. Long live our CJ and long live mother Ghana. Amen!

This is the second seismic failing in her department:
1. The first was when so many innocent people were locked up in filthy cells and she did not know that was the situation in her BACKYARD !!!
2. The second is this even more shameful scandal which she did not AGAIN know about !!!
An OSTRICH attitude to management. Bury your head in the sand eh !
No doubt the country is going down hill. Drug dealers are set free despite strong evidence but nobody cares ? The acquital of the drug dealers whose agent is in a London jail and whose mobile phone details held a mine of information that could have nailed down the criminals is a testimonay of the ROT IN GHANA SOCIETY. THE CHIEF JUSTICE PROBABLY DID NOT HEAR ABOUT IT. THE JUDICIARY DID NOT SAY A WORD ABOUT THE ACQUITAL. GHANA SOCIETY IS ROTTEN TO THE CORE !!! IF WE WANT TO KILL THE SNAKE of BRIBERY IN OUR SOCIETY THEN ONE OF THE EFFECTIVE WAYS IS TO CHOP OFF THE HEAD(S)OF DEPARTMENTS/CORPORATIONS WHERE BRIBERY IS ENDEMIC. THE CHIEF JUSTICE MUST SET AN EXAMPLE, BENCHMARK, FOR TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT HAPPENS IN ONES DEPARTMENT. THOSE WHO BURY THEIR HEADS IN THE SAND WHILE THEIR DEPARTMENTS CAN DO WHAT THEY LIKE CAN THEN TAKE THE CONSEQUENCES FOR SLEEPING ON THEIR JOBS.
UNFORTINATELY THE GOVERNMENT IS ITSELF MIRED IN CURRUPTION SO IT IS IMPOTENT TO ACT OTHERWISE THE CHIEF JUSTICE AND THE TOP EXECUTIVE SHOULD BE SACKED OR STEP ASIDE FOR PROPER INVESTIGATION TO COMMENCE.
OUTSIDE JUDGE SHOULD BE BROUGHT IN TO CLEAN THE MESS !!!!

i do not know what the law professor point for the Chief Justice to resign is. By the way , the chief Justice in U.S will not resign over some corrupt judges. They will get their day court.
Just think about, the office of the chief Justice and the supreme court should be independent of the lower court. Its function is to provide a review of the lower court decisions and that decisions are final.
I presume all the judges are appointed by the executives arm of government , and therefore the President and his Attoney General are to be blamed. A duty comes with responsibility, and they failed Ghana in appointing corrupt judges.
i think what needs to done is, in addition to the internal review we should have special independent committee to probe the matter and come out with recommendations.
We can also ask for help from outside from outside the country, the New Nigerian President is doing it to help with corruption in his country. At the mention of the USA -FBI involvement ,a lot criminals have changed their story and they reportedly gotten back over $20 billion . Think about what good can be done with that money. Is the President willing to exposure his own corrupt team members ?
That is what the future of Ghana depends on.

It is very true and sad to say that with much explosion of knowledge, common sense is a scarcity.
The fact of obtaining a degree in something does not mean one is wise, it makes him knowledgeable of that particular field but it is surprising to hear someone we have great expectation from to talk like an educated illiterate.
It is very embarrassing, intense shame to always listen to our supposed leaders comparing our nation to others in their discussions and debate, it clearly shows how shallow they are and how dependent they are. Ghana is our land and our policies should adapt to our ways and culture, we keep failing because we fail to try our own policies.
You are shameful, desist from that and you shall be free forever.
You had your opinion and this is mine.
God bless Ghana, God bless you all.

It would only happen if the Chief Justice don't do anything to displaying the faulty judges then the CJ would have a serious case at her hand.
The whole world is watching how the Judges involve going about fighting what they have always been preaching against. There should not be no "ANIMAL FARM" business here. And so what if you are Judge. If the faulty Judges disobey there will be disorder from the public about the law. Obey the rule of thumb.

I find it ironic that Ansa Asare would make such an irresponsible request. But I should not be too surprised! The advent of Georgina Wood as CJ deprived Ansa Asare of a presumed source of influence in the country that he had previously been peddling around the globe to potential investors to his benefit. Moreover, he is aware that she was one of those on the General Legal Council who supported the setting up of the Justice Akamba's committee of inquiry which probed Ansa Asare's administration of the finances of the Ghana School and made shocking findings of persistent diversion, misapplication and embezzlement of funds against him. He has so far used his political connections to avoid refunding the huge sums he was asked to. He is therefore no better than the shamelessly corrupt judges and magistrates caught in Anas' web. It is therefore laughable that someone like him should be asking the CJ who has been trying within the law to sanitise the judiciary, to resign because birds of Ansa's feathers have been exposed!! Shame on you Ansa Asare!!!

DEAR H.E.PRESIDENT OF GHANA DR.JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA & HER LADYSHIP CHIEF JUSTICE OF GHANA GEORGINA THEODORA WOOD,
TO RESPECTFULLY REFER TO THE ABOVE RELATED PUBLICATIONS ON THE "GHANAWEB.COM" THAT "MAHAMA SHOULD HUMBLY STEP DOWN----BY NANA BOAKYE" AND TO RENDER MY COMMENTS AS FOLLOWS:
THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE, THAT THE ISSUE TO EITHER ENGAGE OR NOT TO ENGAGE IN POLITICS AND STAND FOR A POLITICAL OFFICE POSITION IS DETERMINED BY THE PERSON "HIMSELF OR HERSELF" THEREBY MAKING IT "A PERSONAL RELATED DECISION AND FOR THAT NO PERSON OR PERSONS CAN PREVENT ANY PERSON WHO ALSO FEELS AND DEEMS IT THAT HE OR SHE IS QUALIFIED TO CONTEST THE POLITICAL OFFICE POSITION, THERETO.
THAT SO FAR AS H.E.PRESIDENT OF GHANA DR.JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA HAS NOT BEEN DISUALIFIED BY ANY ADVERSE FINDINGS BY A COMPETENT "COMMISSION OF INQUIRY" OR OTHERWISE, THE PRESIDENT CANNOT BE CALLED UPON TO STEP DOWN AS BEING SPECULATED BY NANA BOAKYE, THERETO.
THIS IS BECAUSE THAT DECISION MAKING IS PERSONAL RELATED AND THEREFORE NO PERSON OR GROUP OF PERSONS ALSO CANNOT PURPORT TO PREVENT ANY PERSON OR PERSONS ALSO WHO DEEM IT THAT HE/SHE/THEY ALSO QUALIFIED TO CONTEST FOR A POLITICAL PUBLIC OFFICE EXCEPT BY LAW, THERETO.
THAT THE NOMINATIONS PROCESS SHOULD ALSO BE SEEN TO BE OPEN AND TRANSPARENT AND TO CREATE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL POTENTIAL CONTESTANTS AND TO PURPORT TO ENGAGE IN THE CONTRARY CREATES A POTENTIAL PROBABILITY PREGNANT WITH LITIGATION, THERETO.
THAT SIMILAR CALLS AND DEMANDS ARE BEING PURPORTED MADE BY SOME PERSONS JUST BECAUSE OF THE ANAS AMEREYAW EXPOSE AND THE TRUE FACTS ARE THAT HER LADYSHIP CHIEF JUSTICE OF GHANA GEORGINA THEODORA WOOD HERSELF HAS NOT BEEN ACCUSED OF ANY WRONG DOING AND WHY SHOULD AN INNOCENT "CHIEF JUSTICE OF GHANA" RESIGN?
THAT IT IS A TRITE LAW THAT AN INNOCENT PERSON WHO HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING WRONG OR HAS NOT COMMITTED ANY RELATED CRIME(S) SHOULD NOT BE SEEN TO SUFFER FOR THE WRONG OF OTHERS EVEN WHICH ARE NOT YET EVEN PROVEN BEYOND EVERY REASONABLE DOUBTS.
IT IS THEREFORE AT THESE RELATED BACKDROPS THAT I AM RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTING THAT H.E.PRESIDENT OF GHANA DR.JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA NOT TO STEP DOWN AND ALSO HER LADYSHIP CHIEF JUSTICE OF GHANA GEORGINA THEODORA WOOD ALSO NOT TO RESIGN.
RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED.
GOD BLESS GHANA AND AMERICA.
