  Nowadays businesses and government organisations have stopped demanding Secondary School Certificate or Basic Education Certificate.
  
  Each of these certificates is important. For example for many tertiary graduates the only certificate that can tell whether one can speak good English or whether one has adequate knowledge of Mathematics is the Secondary School Certificate.
  
  Similarly the only certificate that can tell whether a tertiary graduate has basic knowledge of Ghanaian history, culture, agriculture and the basic geography of West Africa is the Basic Education Certificate.

  Some Ghanaians, particularly the semi-educated and political wannabe class, do not hesitate to express their disapproval or displeasure with American activities and influence on Ghana while shamelessly asking and taking in any manner of aid from the same USA.
  Ghanaians, the smart ones that is, cannot dare to talk about democracy without looking to the USA model because the US democratic model is a refined UK model. There has been lack of refined democratic models come of late because those who have tried, including Ghana, do see democracy as a stagnant book of directives on how to and not as guidelines on what not to do. The USA via its government activities, internal or external, is a model of wisdom Ghana can use. They show us how to seek the interest of the nation first while being a good neighbor. They show us how we could use our soft power (mineral and natural resources) and fighting skills to wield influence never losing sight of our security, health, safety and economic prosperity as a nation. The USA has and will always be a good neighbor to all nations in need or in cooperation because survival of mankind must be maintained. So next time the ignorant folks wish to talk out of turn on America they should be ready to refuse the help and aid that comes. Let us see how long the itch will last.
