This foolish man is saying exactly what he said before with a lot more sugar but he is appealing for certain so called key men to be retained. What position is more critical than the presidential candidate. If Nana had to fight for his position, who is this useless minority leader to think people like him should be protected.

Some of us don't give a damn to what he is saying. If as an MP he did well, people will vote for him again. We don't need "Mugabe" MPs whose duty to their constituencies is just to attend funeral.

Do you remeber that Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu's real name is Lawrence Addae? Yes Lawrence Addae is an embarrassing name to this MP. In Sec Sch he was notorious for stealing: breaking into student's chop boxes, lockers and school storerooms. In Form 5 he broke into the kitchen storeroom and was caught red-handed!
After the sanctions for these stealings, he eventually got into KNUST. And to clean up his dirty past he changed his name to Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu.
So you see, this man has been dishonest and a crook since birth. See how he wants to 419 NPP!

So long as the constituents feel their rep is doing a good job they will retain their MP. So the leadership should not devise tricks to entrench their friends in parliament.

Why must the same no apply to the people in parliament, be they leaders or followers? Performing MPs would be retained, and under-performing MPs would have to give way tors to try their ideas too. If Kyei-Mensah believes he has done well, why should he fear the challenge? He is away the people are losing faith in him. He will go with Mahama!

...Talking About?"
First, if Mr. Mensah-Bonsu believes in democracy and free elections, then his TRICKY "eir-tanz" or "egg-dance" around his own pronouncement about the NPP's Primaries is hugely laughable. Remember when they issued a FATWA, that men shouldn’t contest against women in the primaries? What positions are sacrosanct in Ghanaian politics anyway?
His MOTIVE is clear to me. He doesn't want the leadership of the party in parliament, which he heads his party, replaced by some political newcomers, thus his statement: "... the need for the party to retain its key personalities in the lawmaking chamber." Else, what the heck does that mean?
Secondly, he hid behind the door and stated that "And in the advance democracies, you don't have a situation where at the end of the tenure of parliament, the 'floodgate is opened' to allow unfettered contest."
Is Mr. Bonsu not flouting the very essence of democracy: government for, of, by and about the people through FREE and competitive elections?" True, the Negro is scared to lose his parliamentary Seat and, by extension, his damn BREAD, period. And that's why he's talking that way—thinking that the NPP bosses will listen and save him and a few others.
So, if your ass is not afraid to go through the primaries, then why waste time to give these pieces of advice? If he can count, then I refer him to "HOW MANY REPUBLICANS are contesting the primaries for presidential candidate in the United States of America for the 2016 elections?" By my last count, there were 18 of them, so that clearly takes care of Mr. Kyei Mensah-Bonsu’s FALSE knowledge and understanding of competitive democratic elections in the advance democracies.
**Just be a MAN or WOMAN enough and face any competitors in the primaries and you will win—if you’ve been doing a good job for your constituency, and Ghana as a whole, and not just there for the money, status, perks and other freebies!!**

He is speaking his mind though quite interesting for what he said is against all democratic principles, something, he keeps on trumpeting as an NPP. Unlike Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who behaviour and action tells it all. Both Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu and Nanan Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo are arrogant, egotistical, violent, unprincipled, have no self-respect, display impunity and disregard rules and laws that do not favour them. They like to remain in authority by all means. Hence the 'all die be die' mantra. Thank God the true pictures of 'the false prophets' and the 'kremos' in batakari kese' are emerging. Ghanaians will vote wisely as usual.

Why would NPP not see the sense to retain the likes of Papa Owusu Ankomah , Eugenia Kusi, Akoto Osei, Gyan Balfour, Osei Kyei Mensa, Richard Anane, Nana A to Arthur, etc?
This idea that someone has been there too long and for that reason he/she should give way for someone should be condemned.
We have created a system where people with money to buy corrupt delegates are able to unseat experience legislators.
In developed democracies, hardworking, productive and competent legislators can stay as long as 40 years or more. Let us cherish experience.
